The Craven Arms — Restaurant in Birmingham

Brilliant pub, me and my girlfriend came here as we just happened to stumble upon it on a walk around Birmingham and a quick Google search told us it was in the top 20 pubs in Birmingham so we said we have to go in !

I had a Guinness and it was really nice and poured correctly. My girlfriend tried the double Dragon as it was recommended by the staff. We both loved the Double Dragon so much we stayed for another two pints of it and invited my girlfriends parents to the pub to try it for themselves, they also really liked it!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was amazing we felt as the quality of the drinks were tip top.

I would recommend going to this pub for sure. The pub itself is very aesthetically pleasing inside and out ! The green tiles on the outside are a work of art. I look forward to returning and enjoying another double dragon the next time I am visiting...

Proper pub with proper beer!

An absolute god send for a beer drinker staying at iBis Budget in Birmingham. Lovely old style pub with an amazing selection of ales in draft and a very friendly barman. Didn't really get to speak with any of the locals as they were all doing their own things whilst I was alone but it didn't really spoil the experience as the bar and beers were so great. Did speak to some ex locals who were in the rail industry and lovely people. Love this place. John runs a tight ship. Always a good choice of craft real ales. The home baked bread rolls for the sandwiches are baked fresh by John every single day! As well as the home cooked pies and scotch eggs . Great atmosphere, brilliant bar staff always accommodating, clean, cosy and warm. nice open fire in the cold weather. Great meeting place for pre-drinks before going OUT OUT or if you like your ales you'd do just as well to make the craven your evening out.
