Upsetting. I went there tonight to have my birthday meal, we got there at 8:30pm and were seated. We (meaning myself and my boyfriend) wanted to sit and enjoy ourselves over food, so we ordered 3 different sushi rolls, laksa, shrimp tempura, gyoza a rice dish, seaweed salad and 2 LARGE bubble teas. After ordering our food, the waiter left to take it to the kitchen. Weāre thinking everythingās okay but a few minutes later he came back and said we needed to substitute a dish because it would take too long to cook and they close at 9. MIND YOU IT WAS ALREADY 20 MINS TO 9 AT THIS POINT AND WE HAD ALREADY ORDERED. We changed the dish, but I thought, āsurely theyāll let us eat finish our food and not make us leaveā. NOPE! We had to pack our food in take away boxes AS we ate and had to PAY AS we ate. We were literally interrupted through our meal to do this.
When 9pm hit the staff opened the door and stood outside waiting for us to leave. Literally were holding the door open while looking at us out the window. As we were walking out they apologised but really this was ridiculous. How on earth could they not inform us that they were closing before we sat down? I we had to pack half the meal up to take away and I even had to leave behind some as I couldnāt stuff it down fast enough. The staff were polite and the food was delicious but this was a real let down.
Coincidentally I can see that theyāve done this before from a past comment! A very unpleasant experience and honestly a shame. A real damper on...
Read moreWent for take away on a Wednesday evening. Place was busy and had a quirky vibe with sticky note messages over the walls. I eat sushi a lot so expect it to be made to order and take a little while but....I ordered a mixed sashimi and was warned it takes time to make. I then ordered an eel dragon roll. The server literally sighed at me and rolled her eyes say 'this also takes a long time to make' I said it was OK as these were the dishes we wanted. 40 minutes later! She did apologise and said they were short staffed but this still seemed extreme - at least offer a glass of water or a tea if customers are waiting that long. The food itself was delicious. The dragon roll came with cucumber which wasn't in the item description the menu and I picked it out (hate cucumber) but the rice was perfect, the tempura crispy (despite sweaty takeaway box) and the roasted eel was sweet and charred to perfection. We also had some delicious squid, delicately battered and served with japanese mayo and a sweet soy honey dressing. As a nice touch the sashimi was packed in a bag with ice to keep it cold (never had that before) and had a generous selection of salmon, tuna, seabass, prawn (cooked rather than the sweet raw shrimp) and clam. Ginger and wasabi comes in the box and soy is provided in sachets. The 3 dishes were nearly £40 For the food I would come again but I'd probably pre-order and collect rather that have to sit waiting...

The chicken is perfectly tender, with just the right amount of crispiness, coated in a sauce that balances the heat and sweetness flawlessly. Each bite bursts with flavors, thanks to the expertly blended spices and the crunch of fresh peanuts and vegetables. Itās a dish that will leave you craving more long after your plate is empty.
