Sundaes & Gelato is a desert place that does genuinely fantastic icecream. As you walk into the store there is the huge display of all the flavours, including cookies & cream, Mango Sorbet, Coconut Sorbet, Blue Banana Iced cream and bubble gum, along with many more!

They offer a large menu, including Crêpes, Waffles, Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Strawberries in a cup (with chocolate sauce), mocktails, sundaes, smoothies, milkshakes, coffees & teas & so much more. There's something for everyone, and the menu is near completely vegetarian (never had any issues of gelatin etc), and gluten free can still have the Ice-creams/sundaes offered as long as they ask for no wafers!

The atmosphere is pretty good, if you go earlier on in the day, after they open, it tends to be pretty quiet with just a bit of background music & the music video playing in the TV, in this time it is a good place to study, hang out and chat or play something like DnD. Later on it can get slightly more crowded but normally there still are free tables and things about.

Sundaes and Gelatos prices normally sit between £4 -£9 depending on what you get, but they also include student discounts of 20% on all main items (crepes, sundaes and waffles) which is pretty good!

The waffles themselves are okay, and the toppings for both crepes and waffles can be generous and very filling depending on what you order.

One of my favourite things about this place is that you can have a milkshake from any icecream at the front. My personal favourite is a blue banana gelato shake, it is wildly blue and very tastey- (primarily tastes of normal banana) and is around £3.35 for that! Not bad at all!

Service is quick and efficient, you don't have to wait for long for your food to come, and you just go up to the bar to...

If you are searching for a reason to hate Birmingham, try this place. Otherwise I can give you all the reasons to never go to this place. I went there today for lunch and it was smelling a bit wrong. However I thought it might be my illusion.. then I realised no staff is looking at me..As I am partially sighted, I felt it discriminatory too. I asked to take the order and I understood that I need to pay there in the beginning. After the payment, it was a horrible waiting for 50 minutes.. in between I noticed that tables were extremely untidy. One of the staffs saw that I was clicking pics of the table.. immediately she came and cleaned the table and I asked her how long I need to wait.. she was asking what my order was.. I told chicken pasta. She was kind of apologising saying that we are changing the menu and have some confusion bla bla... After 15 minutes a tall guy came with the pasta told loudly your pasta is ready... It was very below average and I could eat only half, not because of big quantity but due to low quality. .. if the payment was at the end, I would not have stayed there. I am not exaggerating. If any staff of the restaurant see this review I challenge you to reply and I will post the pics of the dirty...

Tl;Dr - ice cream was fine 3.5/5 level. Communication of the staff was terrible. Didn't get my order right, blamed me (wasn't my fault). Then overcharged me.

Went in for a Bank Holiday treat. I asked for "One Three Scoop Cone". A whole experience of the guy not understanding what I wanted then happened. He gave me one 2 scoop cone and one one scoop cone. I explained that's not what I wanted and after some communication help from his colleague, we were finally on the same page. His colleague apologiesed for the misunderstanding and said I would be charged for One 3 scoop cone and not the two separate cones. All was fine. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen and I had no iss3... Until the guy proceeds to blame me and tell me I told him the wrong thing and he only made what I asked... Not true. Not one for confrontation, I just said sure whatever. He then charged me for the two separate cones with a small discount which still ended up more than the cost of a 3 scoop.

I was fine with the misunderstanding until the guy blamed me and then overcharged me. Very...
