The order of a sushi selection and udon noodles and hand rolls was delivered to the correct address, promptly and transported with care. The cold items were cool when they arrived and hot food was hot when delivered, they were in separate bags. The food was delicious. And the sushi came with pickled ginger, soya sauce and wasabi sachets. The food was prepared with expertise and presented with finesse. The delivery driver was professional and courteous. The food ordering was very easy to complete , the order was fulfilled correctly. The food was so enjoyable , I find myself transported to the Japanese countryside in autumn , with falling cherry blossoms , the pounding rythm of kodo drummers, or perhaps the expert swordsmanship of ancient samurai's unsheathing their swords ready for battle, as my swordsmanship is as unyet unproven I find myself instead opting to lie on the sofa and I cancel my gym session for...
Read moreWe decided to visit Fujiyama on Christmas Day as our favorite sushi spot, Noa, was closed. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a poor choice. The sushi was lackluster, lacking the freshness and flavor you’d expect. The service was mediocre at best, with little attentiveness from the staff. There were four of us, and we ordered seven sushi sets, but the waitress brought only one small portion of spicy mayo. When we requested additional sauce, we were informed it would cost £1 per extra portion—a surprising and disappointing policy. In all my visits to sushi restaurants, I’ve never seen condiments like spicy mayo come with a charge. Overall, the experience was far from pleasant, and we will not be returning. If you’re in the area and craving sushi, I highly recommend trying Noa or Kibou instead—they consistently deliver great food and...
Read moreI don't think I've ever been this disappointed with a bowl of ramen. The noodles were extremely soft, the tonkotsu broth was tasteless, the amount of pork was minimal and yet what let me down the most was seeing that the picture for the dish on the menu had nitamago.. as soon as I got the tonkotsu ramen and saw it came with FRIED egg instead of nitamago it just ruined the whole experience (the waitress didn't even understand when I asked for extra nitamago). I've also had the chicken karaage which was acceptable even though it was slightly overpriced for the amount you do get. The takoyaki was as one can always expect, great. Personally I'd focus more of flavor over quantity, that's a good aim for any restaurant. Hopefully one day I'll go back to Fujiyama and things will...
