Booked this venue for a baby shower as pictures looked lovely on Instagram. Spoke to the owner to make arrangements she said the venue could cover 26/28. I booked for 25 adults 1 child when we arrived I was surprised how small the venue was we couldn't move without banging into people. Now let's move on to the food, sandwiches tastless cheap ham and chicken like value packs also cheese tasteless. Advertised with quiche and sausage rolls and quiche was missing when I asked the owner came out and said they had a problem with supplier not turning up. I found this hard to believe as all products severed were not locally sourced. Then the owner was very rude and said in an aggressive tone well actually you should have only had 1 and I pointed out the menu and she just said Well and shrugged her shoulders and walked away. So if you are thinking of holding a party here I would not recommend might be OK to call in for a coffee while shipping that's about it. Although I wouldn't with a rude grumpy old woman like that. Also it was freezing cold paying almost £600 to sit in a small room cold with cheap sandwiches and rubbish service. They had young children serving who got confused while people asking for drinks but their fault shouldn't have been left. Don't bother there are much better venues with quality food and service round.
Just a quick edit in response to your response.....
First of all I did try to resolve the issue on the by asking to speak to someone, you never made yourself known as the owner and the kitchen staff was the only person who came to speak to me. If you knew what what going on why didn't you come over to myself and mum and try and resolve the matter. Then everyone would have been happy and the review perhaps not needed.
2 members of our party also spoke to staff about the cold and nothing was done.
2 members of our party did get served chicken as a fish alternative due to allergies.
You had my phone number and could have messaged me about missing items or differnt food.
When leaving we did say thank you and bye as we are polite nice people And thought we were being friendly to the staff although in your Unprofessional reply say we were intimidating. We booked out the whole venue exclusively and were talking with one another across tables.
Also are most of your reviews written by your staff and friends as seems strange that I put an honest review on and then a review pops on from lilia who happens to work at the cafe, saying what a lovely time she had and she will be back. But she actually...
Read morewe walking in as a party of 6 people including 2 children. there were a few tables available however we were seated and a dirty table. we had ordered hot chocolates and the little girl with us wanted a Ruby one as it was pink, when she was told later that they didn't have anything to made this she was left very disappointed. when our hot chocolates arrived they were all lukewarm and seemed to have been made with just regular store bought hot chocolate powder and didn't taste as though it was very good quality and we disnt have to time to sit around and wait for a new round. when it came time to pay the brunette girl had disappeared and so we had to shout out for her to come and after multiple times of this she finally came out so we can pay our bill. She had not been very attentive to us from the start and only seemed to be pottering while there were multiple dirty tables around us with cups and plates on them. our nan had gone up to pay and she treated her very condescendingly. we have been before and had a great experience last time so not quite sure why previous standards have gone down so much as it was still a lovely place and...
Read moreFinally getting around to leaving a review of Hearts for Homes coffee+chill! This is our absolute favourite and our ‘go to’ for brunch or coffee. We try to support our local establishments but this is where we always seem to go back to. It’s the most beautifully decorated piece of pink heaven and we always get a warm welcome from the owner Kerry who has really taken the time to get to know us. It’s a real ‘family affair’, with Kerry’s husband Ray often on hand to serve food and chat and their lovely sons, taking orders. The service is great! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and we never have to wait, even when it’s very busy, and it usually is really busy! Everything is just gorgeous! From the gold cuttlery, to the neon signs, it’s the prettiest place. Food is wonderful. Large portions and high quality ingredients, very reasonably priced. We love the little fried potatoes that accompany each meal, in a little heart shaped pot 💗 Just love it! Credit where it’s due and this little coffee shop is a credit to the lovely family who run it. We’ll be...
