Booking/Arrival: Called to try oysters for the first time, and was welcomed to come and indulge.
When I arrived the host greeted me warmly and took their time showing me around the restaurant and the different options for seating (Tuesday evening, fairly quiet).
Seating: I chose to sit outside with the most fantastic view of The Fitz though the inside was a lovely cozy cottage setting.
Ordering: I was given time to see the menu before ordering the glass of champagne with two oysters offered all day, all week.
Service: My food was served as quickly as expected, polite, and perfect as were the explanations of how people choose to eat and garnish their oysters.
Not the overpowering fishy taste I was expecting as with caviar/roe etc. The closest thing I’d describe them as is the subtle taste of the ocean breeze.
I ordered 6 more and tried them in every permutation I could think of, plain, with the refreshing shallot mignonette, lemon slices, ground black pepper, and Tobasco...

The atmosphere was…alright.
Bottom line, I thought I’d check out North Star as I was expecting something really special, as it’s the only restaurant in Cambridge to have a 5-star Google rating. Now I’ve been, since The Ivy is rated 4.4, in comparison I’d give North Star a 4,...

The restaurant was called Little Rose before. The same outline inside. I wondered if the owner or the chef or both have changed.
The most importantly, the menu was changed.

The portions of the main was small l, therefore we ordered a cheese board that was on the dessert menu.
Not a bad idea having cheese board in the dessert menu as all, not everyone has a sweet tooth.
The menu got expensive and cheaper options available. It depends on your budget.
I think I would come back to other things...
