Carlisle - Rude and unhelpful Let's start of with the fact I am disabled and struggle to walk, this is obvious to even the most clueless person, I mean the wobble, being hunched over and with a crutch isn't obvious at all (rolls eyes). Costa Carlisle city centre branch appears to have managed to employ someone (no name badge, dark hair and maybe had one or two too many sugars in her coffee) that sadly falls below this level. That or the Scottish accent made her screw her face up at me. I attended with my 8 year old daughter and our dog, a very short walk for me which still causes me a lot of pain. I entered via this door next to our outside table but was ordered to go back out and walk round to the front door, not very politely either. I did try to reason with her as I was already in the customer serving area but she wasn't having it and I couldn't be bothered with any further embarrassment. There is no signage saying this door isn't to be used and since what was now obviously staff using it I didn't think twice as it is propped wide open and looks like a main entrance to the shop. Anyway by time I walk round and with no one else in the shop now being served, I am left to stand and wait to be served, clearly she's power happy in her almighty position. Happily will never use this particular branch again. What an embarrassment to the Costa coffee chain, which I have to say have always been more than accomodating to my need for a little help. I will however say the other staff actually looked embarrassed at her behaviour. Very poor service and certainly won't be rushing back to be served by someone who clearly thinks she is better than her customers ever could be. Not shocked one bit to see so many bad reviews on Tripadvisor on this particular branch.

Costa in gretna gateway has really gone down the tubes, they put far to much milk in and not enough coffee!! Couldn't drink it, and the disabled toilet's were a dam disgrace, there was water everywhere toilet paper all over the place and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for weeks disgusting, I've been to alot of Costa cafe's, but this one was the worst ive ever seen, will definitely...

Unfortunately, the staff although very helpful, had been given false information from head office.

I asked if there was any sugar or sweetener in the herbal tea. I was told no. On drinking it I felt the effects of the same so looked on the 'net. Sure enough, it contained both sugar and sweetener.

Not impressed. Although it was not that particular venue. Costa have a lot...
