The food was very nice ⭐️ Service was good ⭐️ Clean toilet facilities (top of stairs) ⭐️ Food was served quickly ⭐️ My wife and i really enjoyed Coco Mill, only a couple of things that need tweaking. It's understandable that such a popular place has a large roll over of customers as the night goes on so i guess this can be looked at as a positive and a negative view point, it's the been told you only have half an hr left at your table and then kinda felt we are being forced out and having a staff member settling your bill on their terms...i get it and see they are thinking about new customers ect..so it feels like ok your done guy's now move on. Maybe ask the customer if they would like to move to a cosy area as they will need our table, and we would have most likely had a couple of extra drinks if this approach was implemented.

We came here for tapas today and every dish was delicious! We ordered the crispy halloumi, hoisin duck pancakes, pulled beef & yorkies, cumberland chipolatas & taiwanese popcorn chicken. All dishes were flavourful and were decent portions. We only just had enough room for dessert, apple crumble with custard and sticky toffee pudding. Both delicious! Our friendly waiter with a welcoming manner made sure we had everything we needed. He noticed that I was cold so he turned down the air con without us even needing to ask, which was appreciated. We were seated in the back part of the restaurant which was very cosy! This place has become one of my favourite restaurants in Carlisle! I will definitely return.

I'm afraid I can only give Coco Mill 3 stars. Its a relatively new bar. Its extremely pricey. The cocktail I got last time wasn't very nice but that could just be personal preference. Also the meal I got was a tomatoey pasta dish. It was just a bit bland and repetitive. No sides like garlic bread or anything. And it was more like a soup. And it was supposed to have some meat in but there was next to none. Also the toilets (I understand they are trying to give it a modern shabby kind of outlook) but.. They were like something out of the saw film. Very creepy. Will be back to try something again though as mind might be changed. Not in any rush though.

Was probably the best meal out I've had in years. Was struggling to find a good restaurant in Carlisle that was wheelchair accessible and happened to walk past this place when the delicious smell of steak hit me and we decided we would give the place a go.

The staff were wonderful and friendly and were very quick taking our orders. We decided to treat ourselves and try some cocktails which were lovely. The food, however, was the real star of the show. We ordered 2 meals and multiple sides and everything was phenomenal. The chips were proper homemade chips which is always a crowd pleaser with us and I was surprised to find they were well seasoned. In fact everything was well seasoned, we didn't have to reach for salt or pepper all evening. I was also happy to find all the food arrived lovely and hot. The steak was cooked perfectly and was perfect seasoned and tasty and they were very generous with the order of garlic butter which they sent tons of.

The whole experience was wonderful, thank...

Disappointing evening, I came to coco mill for a drink with my niece, asked if we could just come in for a drink and told yes and shown to table. We weren’t asked for ID at door, we ordered drinks again never asked for ID for drinks but then few minutes after we got asked for ID…. My niece had a photo on phone but not actual driving licence with us, which was not satisfactory even though I said she was 18 and we did have something the bouncer could see, she didn’t even want to look at it. Bouncer just told us we had to leave straight away and pay for drinks. They would not allow us to take drink away after paying nearly £20 for drinks

I asked why they didn’t ask when we came in or ordered and did not get an answer. Most despicable service and definitely would not recommend as staff not friendly or helpful in any way so disappointed!! We should have just left without paying since we never actually got to drink our drinks - with the rude...
