It was my birthday, and as part of the journey to my final destination of Edinburgh, the coached stopped at the lovely city of Carlisle. After walking around for an hour I decided I needed to find somewhere to have a slice of cake, and having passed Muffin Break a few times on my walk, more specifically the mouthwatering pictures of milkshakes displayed outside, I decided to see what else was on offer. After a few minutes deciding between all the freshly made goods, from sandwiches, wraps, cakes and muffins, I decided on a banana milkshake with whipped cream and a toffee nut muffin. I popped into this place today after a long distance journey. I asked for 2 bacon and egg rolls and 2 sausage rolls. With a cup of hot chocolate and a cup of lattie. Granted the food arrived very fast. However we had to opt for brown bread as they had run out of rolls at 9.45 in the morning. The bread was unbuttered, the sausages were cold the bacon on my husbands sandwich looked like it had been sitting for over a week. Tbh it was just really disgusting. Well designed and bonus of being able to sit outside under glass roof having a cuppa and snack. Very reasonable prices, be prepared for push chairs and younger todddlers playing in area, only good place for a family with pushchairs to use without having to worry about space or leaving pushchairs outside.
