The Crescent Bar — Restaurant in Carlisle

Just a message to say a huge thank you on behalf of myself and my two friends who had a bit of an unfortunate time with a separate bar last night. Your door staff were very professional and understanding about the whole situation last night and so kind to us. Your bar staff were also second to none- making sure we were all okay and that my friend was well looked after and okay after the whole ordeal. It's not hard to be kind in this world- and your staff in that bar and on the door last night really reminded us of that after the events that had taken place earlier. I have messaged the other bar's Facebook page to acknowledge the unfortunate situation that took place last night and hopefully it will be put to some use, but again I just wanted to thank you all on behalf of us all. Brilliant place and we absolutely will be coming straight there whenever we are in Carlisle! Thank you so, so much!

To add to this review, drinks were excellent and poured promptly. We had no wait time and were comfortable standing at the bar. It wasn't too crowded and had a lovely atmosphere too....

Nobody else but us on a quiet early Saturday afternoon. Wanted a glass of bubbly. Staff were excellent. Prosecco was also excellent (although the staff had a hard time convincing me that £6.10 was a reasonable price to pay for a glass of the stuff!). I don't get out much. And you can get a whole bottle in Lidl for less than that! Still, they reasoned with me, they were better value than most.... Can't wait to go back!...

Found this place while in Carlisle, little place, very comfortable seating but, the Theakstones Barrister Stout on draught is unbelievable, as the name suggests, it has the smell of coffee and undertones of dark chocolate, expensive but delicious, shame they don't sell this...
