For the price the Portion sizes are very small, sometimes you can count the no of fries in the tiny bag!! but the service and attitude of a new restaraunt is horrendous, took me 10 minutes to order as the sales assistant had a few screws loose or something, couldn’t understand what we wanted and it was only a small order and the shop was empty, Then had the cheek to charge me for salt!!! Then we asked for chilli sauces, and we had 5 meals and he only wanted to give us maximum 3!! Scrimping on small items like that will not get you very far. Running a restaraunt on a shoestring budget is not a good idea. If you want to survive in Mk and the tough business market you need to buck up your ideas!! To update I Went in 6 months later to see if they have fixed their problems but to my dismay walked out without my food, ordered my food on their app to make it quicker and not have to communicate with any of the imbeciles on the till, but no they couldn’t even get that right! I was welcomed by another idiot who couldn’t even understand why I was saying , maybe I was taking In Chinese language,???!!! I ordered a full meal but he wanted me pay for a full meal with no fries and drink!! The chap on the till was so rude and no respect for the customer, didn’t have a clue how to communicate with me then he asked the manager to take over who also had no idea of how to deal with a simple situation, then they said cash only!! basically they wanted me to give them cash only, and not use their card machine as this will occur extra costs for the company ( another tax evasion method ) I have had 3 issues when trying to order food from This place, the management and the franchise owners need to seriously sit down and take note of all these negative reviews and put someone on the tills who knows what they are doing and not off the boat ( cheap illegal labour ) also pepes needs to check who they are passing on to represent their company, as these guys in Mk haven't...
Read moreYesterday me and my friends walked into the store and ordered the family meal and an additional burger and went shopping at the shop next door. We came back and saw our food ready on the tray. My friend who had the token slip was in the washroom. Seeing the food getting cold, the remaining two of us told the young Asian person that it is our food. This person immediately removed the tray from our hand's reach and started questioning us like we were thieves. The lady who was from Bangalore (we had a 10 sec chat while the order was taken)who took our order was standing next to this person and she recognised us and told him it's our food!!. But this guy asked her to Shut up!!.
He asked us to list out the items we ordered, the drinks, the dips, flavor of fries, etc. Still he wasn't happy with us. I feel unhappy for being judged and for being questioned for 27 pound worth food and even after his colleague confirmed it is our food, he kept on going like he gets a filthy gratification out of it. All three of us work in the food industry and we understand his situation. But there's a way to speak to a customer. This person needs training and needs to tone down a bit. This is not the way to deal with customers. Customers won't come back if they feel insulted!.
I have worked in UAE and had food from Pepe's branch in Motorcity. It was an amazing experience. But this branch disappointed me only because of the service.

Read morePepe's has really gone downhill and it is very disappointing. Every time we go recently, something is poor or incorrect about the order or food. I have held off leaving a bad review but it has just been too many disappointing takeaways now. We spend a lot of money at Pepe's and the food isn't exactly cheap to begin with. The least you could do is to make our food well. I can make bad food at home for a lot less than you charge. The staff ask us what flavour we would like and then we end up with no flavour at all, sometimes on multiple items in an order. Imagine getting home and finding you have been given plain chicken and plain rice with no sauce or flavour. Takeaway ruined - and paying through the teeth for it. We order large meal with large drinks from the fountain, the staff try to fob us off with cans, and then get funny about it when we say we ordered and paid for large drinks. Every time we go these days, our order comes wrong. We shouldn't have to get everything out of the bag and check each item to make sure it's made correctly.
