I hired this pub for the wake of my mother, I requested for the food buffet to be laid out for when we got there at 2 '0' clock, I asked the landlord where the food was on arrival at 2:30 and was rudely told we'll have to wait til he's ready! I paid £175 for the buffet and was disappointed when we were served Icelands frozen food. I also had put £100 behind the bar to get my guests their first drink, my niece over heard the staff saying that I could have put a bit more. I didn't have a lot of money to bury my mother and did the best I could with what money I had, a few members of my family mentioned being spoken to quite rudely by staff, I'm very upset by how myself and my family who had flown from Ireland were spoken to at such a sad time. The manager is somewhat to be desired, at best he's grumpy and at worst he's just rude and offensive. Other members of staff aren't that much better.
