Happy Garden — Restaurant in Cheltenham

I was here on Saturday 18 November with my partner and a friend. There was no one seated when we arrived around 5pm and three more tables were filled when we left around 6:30pm.

The service was very quick (then again, we were the only ones there!) and our server was very friendly. We ordered drinks and not too long after ordered our starters and mains. See the photos I uploaded for my £4.50 'Deep Fried Pork Dumplings' starter and my £5.80 'Sweet&Sour Pork' main, which I had with egg fried rice. Prices were decent and portions were very generous.

The dumplings were probably the best I'd ever had, no word of a lie! They were absolutely delicious, very nicely cooked and not dry at all. The sweet and sour pork was also very nice, but there was an abundance of green bell pepper, which just so happens to be my least favourite of the bell peppers!

I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the Cheltenham area, and I'd advice you to do the same if you love good...

Whenever I fancy Chinese food, this is the place.

When I first moved to Cheltenham from Bristol 3 years ago, I tried 5 or 6 Chinese food places, to find a new 'regular'. For me, this is the one.

I order from here a lot (probably too much) and it's always great. The one thing that lets them down is the BBQ spare ribs, which are a bit hit and miss; that's the difference between 3 and 4 stars.

I've never eaten in the restaurant (only ordered delivery) but know friends who have, and they all had good experiences there.

At the end of the day, with a Chinese, you're not worried about fine dining - you just want hot, tasty food cooked properly. Happy Garden delivers...

To start this message , I wanted to address how customers are meant to feel satisfied with the product and customer service. I was only satisfied with the food. The customer service is absolutely appalling and genuinely disgusts me to think restaurants function to speaking to customers in such manner. The food was 2.5 hours LATE. When we complained the lady was disruptive and to summarise practically told me to do one. If you want to be treated like scum , go ahead and order from here. Cheltenham takeaways are on a spiral downfall and this is just the beginning. Will NEVER order...
