Popped by based on other reviews and glad I did. Great selection of hand pulled beers at the bar at the front but the best is yet to come. Walk through to the beer garden and the bbq ‘tiki’ shack and smell the fantastic Greek based food on offer. I had the lamb served with potatoes and a super fresh Greek salad buffet. Great taste and so tender - the chef knows just how to get the best from the meat. Others were having steak, burgers and lasagne plus there’s grilled fish (inc swordfish) as well. Truly a great little pub serving something different from the mainstream food offering. Make sure you try it out. If people don’t support these great places they will just disappear.

Cheltenham 0 Argyle 1....yeah! What better place to celebrate than in a real ale pub. It seemed half the crowd knew about this place too!! I had a pint, or two of Proper cracker.....and some peanuts and very nice it was too. Excellent atmosphere, fans from both clubs mingling and talking football. No teles, no music, no food........just an old fashioned pub.....perfect .....Oh, and guitars, banjos and ukeleles hanging on the wall....apparently they have locals that pop in and play , sing and entertain on certain nights.....cool

Got off the beaten path of the race day crowds, and discovered this place. Obviously was busy being festival week, but was a surprising great find. Drinks were very reasonably priced, service was great, managed to get a spot in the excellent garden area. On our way out back we passed the food service area, and the smell of the food was heaven. Home cooked very limited menu, but less is more! Quickly, beef stew was ordered all round. Food was prompt, hot, and a full bowl of beef, new potatoes and vegetables along with a large wedge of tiger bread. At £8 this was the best bet of the day, and the ladies preparing were thanked immensely. Will most definitely be back this week and the subsequent years. Outstanding visit, couldn't...

Amazing home cooked style food. Had a Beef stew with crusty bread. Portions were very generous! And the food was very wholesome and tasty! A friend had a lasagna, and again, the portions were extremely generous. It had an old school "pub boozer" type of vibe, which is refreshing compared to all the trendy bars popping up in town. It was a Thursday evening and the pub was filled with great atmosphere and some locals playing music on the various instruments on offer. A gem of a place. Glad I stumbled across it. I will...
