Where do I begin...
I called to book a table on a Tuesday night, and requested 7, they said they had nothing at 7, but 7:15.
We got to the restaurant, we stood in the "reception" and waited to be greeted/seeted for a while, and there was only one other table.
The two staff members seemed to be very inexperienced and somewhat uncomfortable throughout the whole experience, and therefore so did we.
We waited along time for our drinks to arrivr so had plenty of time to read the fairly large menu. When it came to ordering, several dishes were out of stock, and the server (in training?) suggested to order mains, not even giving the option for starters or poppadoms. We ordered these. The starters were given to us wrong and we had to swap dishes once he'd walked away.
The chef in the kitchen was coughing and wheezing which we could hear throughout the meal, especially since the restaurant was quiet having only us and another table.
Whilst the mains and naan bread were nice, it definitely wasn't the best curry.
Considering this restaurant has two AA rosettes we were fairly disappointed and thought it was not up to these standards.
Perhaps worth another try, but think it could do...
Read moreOrdered the night before for New Year's Eve and had to wait 15 mins outside when I turned up on the night! But the main problem we had was that the garlic chilli chicken and also the longhorn beef rogan josh were very, very salty. It was so bad my wife couldn't eat it and I struggled. I phoned immediately to let them know this and was just thanked for informing them. I was also told that they hadn't had this problem before, but I see from a previous comment here that this isn't true. It has happened before, which is poor customer service, in my mind. It put a real dampner on our New Year's Eve night as we had really been looking forward to it. It's such a shame, as we have ordered here for special curry nights before and it's always been of the highest quality, but we will now try a few other curry restaurants before...
Read moreFor some I can understand the appeal, however for someone like me, who likes your typical vindaloo/korma/Tikka Masala, then this place isn’t for you. I ordered what I thought was a Chicken Tikka Masala, and when it came over I though there has been some mistake, as what was in front of me clearly wasn’t a Chicken Tikka Masala. The owner came over and in a rather aggressive manner, suggested that most curry houses have ‘bastardised’ Indian food, and his are pure and authentic. Which is all well and good, but what was on my plate was not Chicken Tikka Masala and tasted awful. Now, had I been offered an alternative, I wouldn’t be here writing this, however the owner made a point of saying; either eat what’s in front of me or pay for something else. Was rather shocked at his tone, and opted not to give this restaurant any more...
