I left a good review following a visit in January this year and I've been back many times since. I've recently started using the Too Good To Go app, where one pays a small amount of money in exchange for food that would otherwise be thrown away. Previously the very nice young woman who works here was very nice and sorted out a very full bag of sweet and savoury food. Today I arrived to collect a bag at 17.03, a whole three minutes after the window of collection. At first a member of staff I had never spoken to before said it was impossible to honour my purchase as "the system" wouldn't be now allow it. I pointed to the app on my phone which stated that the deal was still active and gave me an option to confirm I had collected my bag. She relented and went to get the bag, saying "just this once" and that as I was "five minutes late" she didn't have to honour my purchase and that "I have to shut this door now". I pointed out to her that I was actually only three minutes late and that it was her intention not to serve me and her making up an incorrect statement that "the system" would not longer allow the collection of the bag caused the further delay. I also advised her that someone working in customer service ought not to speak to a customer as though they were a naughty school kid. Poor show,...

Massive let down is the fact there is ZERO WIFI here. The only wifi they have is through THE CLOUD which already is a massive let down. It is widely known that this type of wife lacks in quality and it certainly lacks here. It disconnects your device every couple of minutes and when connected it can be very slow.
Sadly this place in my books gets a 2 star as nowadays, wifi is key. I would have happily have stayed ALL day here, coffee, lunch, tea etc etc but without reliable wifi I am unable to work here and so I will be off to a different store.
I actually spoke to a couple of other customers who also shared the same frustration and they too left the store due to this fact.
It seems harsh to remove 3 stars from my review due to the wifi but it only goes to show how important a good independent wifi is for a coffee store these days. I also used THE CLOUD at NERO the day before on North Street and I had the exact same problems.
Sadly even cellular was also struggling so there was no workaround as I really would have liked to stay here.

Had it been a busy time of service or an exceptionally big space this would have been okay, but with only 5 or 6 other customers in a space that must have had at least 50 covers it wouldn't have taken much to make the journey and deliver drinks to our table which was all of 6 feet away. Maybe table service just isn't their thing. As for coffee, I'm naturally sceptical of big chains and their ability to make good coffee, so I ordered a "special" mint Hot Chocolate whilst my colleagues ordered flat whites. The flat whites were enourmous and the milk was over-textured making it more akin to a cappucino. The special hot chocolate was anything but. Tasted like dusty water laced with some kind of toxic mint - hugely overpowering mint (I even overheard staff saying "ooh that smells strong" - yet they still served it... to the end of the counter) and barely a hint of chocolate. Milk was borderline cold but...
