Delicious all-vegan breakfast at Black Rabbit—small spot, big flavors!

We had an excellent breakfast at Black Rabbit, a cozy, fully vegan café in Edinburgh. The Full Vegan Breakfast was absolutely delicious—hearty, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. A perfect way to start the day!

Just a small heads-up: the standard breakfast contains gluten, but they do offer gluten-free bread and are happy to accommodate dietary needs—just let them know. The chef is clearly thoughtful about options.

The drink menu features a nice variety of hot teas and specialty coffee drinks, all plant-based, of course. The café itself is quite small—it seats about 10 people max—so you might need to wait a bit during busy hours, but it’s well worth it.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality vegan meal in a relaxed, welcoming space. A real find...

This place is more than just your basic café. It’s small, but don’t let that fool you when you walk in. The food is absolutely delicious and they make everything from scratch. It’s all vegan too! If there are no open tables when you walk in, just order it to go. You won’t regret it.

I ordered the full breakfast, which was great because I got to try a little bit of everything. I also got to try haggis for the first time (a Scottish dish) and loved it. I basically licked the plate clean and decided to order a cinnamon roll for dessert because the food was so good lol.

I spoke with the employees/owners (not sure which) and they were very friendly. They clearly have a passion for good food and were very informative when I asked them questions about their cuisine.

My wife ordered the BLT and a hot chocolate. She loved...

Popped by yesterday morning for a coffee and one of their imfamous cruffins! I made a mistake diverging from my usual black coffee and getting a sweet one because the combo of sweet coffee and cruffin was hard to handle! But thats on me and of a sugar rush is the way I go it'll be worth it. The staff on were lovely and made a great coffee. My first time trying a cruffin and it won't be the last. Great range of vegan meat and cheese products in the fridges, and good chocolate bar options too! In the picture we have 2 cruffins (lovely fancy box too btw) hazelnut on the left and salted caramel on the right. The hazelnut one tasted like a kinder beuno inside and the caramel one has still...

Autumn in Edinburgh... Edinburgh is the perfect place to visit in the autumn. It is a little colder and you'll likely encounter some rain (it is Scotland, after all), but there are less crowds and the city is equally as magical. Here are some things to do in Edinburgh in autumn: 🍂 Wander Old Town: The Royal Mile, get lost on the historic streets and narrow alleyways. View Edinburgh Castle from all angles around town. Don't miss the underground tour at The Real Mary King's Close. 🍂 Beautiful outdoors: Dean Village, Circus Lane, the Royal Botanical Gardens, Princes Street Gardens, Arthur's Seat, Calton Hill, Jupiter Artland 🍂 Nighttime fun: Ballie Ballerson, Fayre Play, potion making at The Cauldron, cocktails at The Alchemist 🍂 Vegan eats: Soul Vegan, Black Rabbit, Curran Geal, NovaPizza, Rabbit Food at Meadows Tap, Sora Lella, Green Bite Cafe, Antijitos, Holy Cow, Considerit (donuts!) 🍂 Coffee shops: The Milkman, Chapter One Coffee, Cairngorms Coffee, Cowan and Sons, Waterstones Cafe, The Wall, Hideout, Argyle Place, Fortitude, Wellington Coffee 🍂 Free galleries and museums: The Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Scottish National Gallery, National Museum of Scotland, Museum of Edinburgh #Scotland #Edinburgh #royalmile #visitscotland #unlimitedbritain #citykillerz #beautifulscotland #scotlandforever #rainydays #edinburghcastle #Scottish #autumn #outlander #hiddenscotland #discoverscotland #ukdestinations #edinburghtravel #medievaltown #postcardplaces #scottishscenery #prettylittletrips #deanvillage #edinburghsnapshots #edinburghhighlights #visitedinburgh #lovescotland
