Probably wouldn't go back to this branch. Staff are lovely. The location/ cafe's set up isn't to my liking. I understand the dog/ pretty friendly rules they have. I think to take the owner's word the dog can behave is risky. Also not to be prejudice, but a dog that's going to be taller than a toddler/ small child on foot, I felt was off putting. People have allergies and fears. Large dogs, especially on a lead where they can wander around, in my opinion shouldn't be permitted in a store where food is served. The hygiene is questionable. Also judging by the cleanliness or lack there of in the toilets, made me more concerned by how their health and safety was being exercised to the standard's expected. Especially being pretty friendly, I don't appreciate a dog's tail wafting its tail near me. All the dirt off the floor getting disturbed. Ive only found the pet friendly facility being an issue in this branch. I won't return here, personal choice, as I didn't find it relaxing after shopping all afternoon. However, across the board I think cafe Nero as a company provides a good service, helpful and friendly staff on most occasions, even in...
Read moreFirst off, I do like a visit to Caffe Nero, and I have been in this branch a few times. On this occasion I found the young man who served me to be a bit surly, no pleasant interaction, no smiles, whilst I'm not expecting to become best friends, a smile or a "hello" would have been nice. The atmosphere is ok, but it just doesn't have the coziness factor of the Quartermile branch (my favourite). There was also an irritating child in on the day I was there.... What is a child doing in a coffee shop?? The food is nice. I had a chicken bacon toastie, a hot tea and a lemon muffin. It hit the spot for elevenses! What I enjoy about Nero too is the background music is just that.... Quiet enough to enjoy a read and not be distracted.. Nothing worse than loud, trashy music blaring when you just want a quiet, relaxing time out for a read and...
