I got a Hokkaido Matcha here today while visiting Edinburgh even though usually I'm not a big fan of the flavour of matcha (not a fan of bitter flavours) but I decided to give the Hokkaido Matcha a go since it looked very interesting - really good decision!! I was impressed by how much I liked it! It was well balanced and rich in flavour, and the caramel etc kept any bitterness at bay while still allowing for the matcha flavour. Really tasty and the tapioka pearls were good quality. The colour looked pretty solid (compared to the pictures displayed) but it was full of good flavour, so no problem. I had the hot option which was good for a cool rainy day. Read moreA wonderful wee shop! I've popped in for tea twice now and it's been lovely both times. The tea is freshly brewed and delicious and there's plenty of options/ways to customise. I'm usually not a big tapioca fan, but I love the tapioca here because it's soft, sweet and not rubbery at all. The staff are super friendly and really helpful. They were lovely to chat to and seemed excited about the new things they were working on. When in doubt, definitely ask for one of their staff picks (the Hokkaido Matcha tea was delicious). Definitely my local tea place now! Update: I have tried everything on their menu, including the Bahn mi and Bai buns (which are no longer on the menu) and their beautiful soufflé pancakes). Having tried it all, you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Vivienne and her team never let you down, truly. Really kind people making the best tea...

The bubble tea was particularly noteworthy, with a refreshing and flavorful taste that was perfect for a warm day. The banh mi was also excellent, with a generous amount of filling and a crispy baguette that added the perfect amount of crunch.
Overall, I would highly recommend Flying Panda to anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying snack or meal. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet or savory, the friendly staff and delicious treats are sure to leave you feeling satisfied. I, too, would love to visit Flying...
