My other half chose this place for somewhere for us to eat tonight. We weren’t disappointed. As we sat down two glasses of water where brought to us, a nice touch. We then made a start with the new lobster courgettes, these where phenomenal. 3 wasn’t enough for us. We then moved onto the main where I had the steak and fries, this was £20 for an 8oz, very juicy, cooked perfectly at medium rare, with an additional Jus for £2 extra on the side. I can’t complain it was super tasty but the price is a little steep in my eyes for only 8oz. My other half had the two sliders and fries for £16.99 he was very happy with the brisket and chicken burgers and the fries where fresh and chunky. To finish a Nutella cheesecake which was so creamy and delicious and a mince pie creme brulee, served cold. I was expecting this to be served hot and have more of a mince pie flavour but it was still tasty. Staff were pleasant and chatty. It did give just a drinks venue vibe with the ambiant lighting, but the food was phenomenal. Only a small menu so you aren’t spoiled for choice. I’m sure we will be back whenever we next...

New place in the west end, a short walk from Haymarket and west end tram stops. The ground level floor has a cocktail bar vibe to it and was just about full on this Saturday evening. Staff were chatty and quickly poured as a glass of water as well took our seat near the back of the room. The menu has a gastropub vibe to it and I ordered Mac 'n' cheese (£12), adding ham hock for an additional £3. It was decent, with the salsa verde bringing it to life. The cheese pull was adequate and the herb croutons gave a contrasting texture. Only quibble was it wasn't overly hot. My partner took the option of two sliders, pesto fried chicken and pulled brisket, with fries for £16.5. Both were enjoyable with the crispy jalapenos on the brisket a real highlight. The fries, which were piping hot, were very good indeed. With ample room downstairs, I think they should use that space more for people eating, as the music upstairs is quite loud and it has more of a cocktail bar atmosphere rather than a restaurant. Staff were very friendly and capable. Overall a good experience and...

We booked a table for 2 people on Sunday 3rd November based off the recommendations of 3 friends of ours who’d individually visited, and we certainly weren’t disappointed. From the moment we walked in the team working greeted us warmly, offering us a choice of tables to sit at. We decided to order the lobster croquettes with bisque mayo to start, a roast beef each for mains and a side of cauliflower cheese, the croquettes were the best I’ve had and my partner said the cauliflower cheese is the best he’s had in a restaurant. All the flavours were unbelievable and no corners had been cut in the preparation of any of the dishes. The cocktails were great too, the menus not overly extensive but still has a great range to choose from, and I’m sure their bartender would be happy to knock up the classics if you ask nicely. We’ve booked back in for next weekend and I already can’t...

First meal in Scotland and definitely was not disappointed. Got the smoked ox cheeks. Absolute banger of a meal. The ox was so tender I could have used a spoon. Mash and cabbage was delicious with the wild garlic gremolata, chive potato mash was silky smooth and the bone marrow jus was quite tasty. Good selection of beer and wine on offer and the staff at this venue were friendly, knowledgeable and very customer focused. Would not hesitate to eat here again, 5 stars
