Read moreMy friend wanted to go to Starbucks, but I insisted we go to a local business. We came in looking for coffee and a little food. While the owner, Donald, was waiting patiently, we perused the menu, and while changing our selection between the tempting eggs & bacon, my friend and I finally both decided on the scrambled eggs & cheese on sourdough.
We sat down and waited for our order. The ambiece was delightful, with a soft-volume 80's music playing and a general liveliness of the place.
Our food came after only a couple minutes. We had our food, and it was probably the best eggs on toast to memory! Such a simple dish, but it was memorable.
What really impressed me was the engagement from Donald and Tracy, the owners.
This is definitely a place to stop in for coffee takeaway, but to eat in the quaint cafe is what community and travel is all about.

Read moreWent for the first time, the folks working there were helpful and polite. Really pleasant couple! The sandwich selection was fantastic, I could barely choose which I wanted to eat. The ingredients were good and the portions were generous. The prices are in line (if not slightly below) the area. I got an iced coffee and I know it’s a small thing but the straw was made out of something eco friendly but not paper. It makes such a difference for whatever reason to not have to deal with the straw disintegrate while I’m enjoying my coffee. Just an example of the attention to detail I appreciated.
