Vietnam Art Cafe — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

I was here today and I my meal of Com Steamed Rice and Pork served with a herb and sesame seed, peanut, garlic and chilli sauce was outstanding, my first mouthful of rice, pork and the fried lettuce side salad had me smiling like a madman! It is one of the best things I have ever eaten, so flavoursome and so balanced, just excellent and it came with a soft drink as a lunch time meal deal for only 5.95! I also tried the Vietnamese coffee, looks a like an upside down Guinness as the sweet milk is at the bottom of the glass, the coffee was superb, robust and sweet and just divine. Vietnamese art adorns the walls and makes it a lovely and interesting place to sit and relax, the owner Le Giang Morrison is a wonderful host and is genuinely caring and welcoming, this is the third time I've been and I just love the ambience, the music, the art and the authentic Vietnamese food and the warm and friendly welcome I receive. The best authentic delicious Vietnamese food in Edinburgh. I love the noodle soups (Pho) and the fresh springs rolls that comes with delicious peanut sauce dip. The lotus sticky rice is also delicious. The portions are very generous and there are vegetarian options available. The coffee is amazing and they use coffee from Vietnam. They also do Drip coffee! Their coffee is the best coffee! I enjoy coming to this cafe whether for a full meal or just a coffee. The atmosphere is cosy, quiet and very relaxed, perfect place to relax. Extremely satisfied. First of all, the hospitality is top notch. The owner lady make you feels like home. The menu is simple but the tastes are gourmet. The pork Bahn mi is my favorite, chilli mayo, braised pork, crunchy salad, crispy viet baguette, what else do you need？! The pho bo (beef noodle soup) was really comforting, flavorful, smooth noodle and a rich yet clear consommé, perfection. Also the lotus wrap chicken sticky rice is a great surprise, all homemade and handmade, it is different from Guangdong version, it is less oily and packed of flavors from the ingredients, such as the lotus leaves, rice itself, seaweed, mushrooms and chicken.
