We stumbled upon this café by chance while looking for a brunch spot, and it turned out to be a lovely surprise. The place has a raw, rustic vibe that feels very current and full of character.
The menu features specialty coffee with a wide range of drinks, as well as a tempting selection of sweet and savory options. We tried the ultra-soft cinnamon roll – simply delicious – and the savory pancake plate “Malvolio”: homemade pancakes, halloumi, sausage, poached eggs, and spinach. Everything was excellent!
A small downside: the poached eggs weren’t runny and had an industrial texture, which felt a bit off compared to the quality of the rest.
On the drinks side, the tea and long black were spot on – no complaints at all. The chai was well-spiced and flavorful, though a bit too sweet for our taste. Special mention for the carefully chosen tableware, which added a nice aesthetic touch to the experience.
A few areas for improvement: – It would be helpful to clearly display the laptop usage policy (time limits, dedicated tables, required consumption, etc.) to avoid misunderstandings. – The Wi-Fi could definitely be simpler to use 😉
Shoutout to the team – dynamic and welcoming – they really contribute to the good vibe...
Read moreVisited here with a friend today. We both found that our drinks were luke warm, and I had already asked for my drink to be extra hot. My friend had black tea, and found that her drink was also luke warm. We had our drinks changed, but my friend mentioned that her second tea was still cold. The time it took to get our drinks took forever as well. The young women who served us wanted to get the manager, who then came through and was extremely rude and offensive to us, stating that he has never had two complaints from the same table ever, and that we were not welcome in the cafe again. He argued with us while standing over our table. We were so shocked. He says that he sets his water to 85degs. I mentions that tea should be 95-100degs, and he says “I’m the expert, not you!”. Actually, I trained baristas for Starbucks when I was younger, so I know what I’m talking about. I wonder if he would have spoken to two men the same way he spoke to us? Shocking way to treat customers. Still can’t believe it. No doubt he will tell a different story in his reply. We asked him for a refund, which he...
Read moreCame as advertised as 'accesible' . No space inside explained to manager one of our party was in a wheelchair, she said if we sat outside she would tell us when a table became free. Outside for a while wondering why we weren't being served, found out from customers you needed to order at counter. Went to order and found table we had been promised had been given to someone else. Very disappointed as friend with advanced MS requires fixed table to eat on. Anyway, ordered food and remained outside. Wheelchair user needed to use toliet, we had chosen this place as it advertises accessible toliets and I had told the manager one of us was a wheelchair user. When friend going to use toliet told by manager lift to toliet was broken and wheelchair user couldnt use it. Caused great distress and wheelchair user and his partner had to rush off leaving their food to find an accessible toliet. 15 minutes when they returned their food was cold and inedible. The least they could have done is to refund the couple who left their food. Terrible service! What a way to treat customers with a...
