Thanks for your response. I actually did not mean to post that review without putting in the details as to why I gave you such a poor review. Firstly however, I apologies if you thought I was being rude regarding the track and trace form. I genuinely thought that as we booked it by phone you would already have our contact details, this has been the case in all the other places we visited. You informed me, to use your words, in a “rude and abrupt” manner, that you could not use this information as it would be a breech of data protection by doing this. To be honest if I was rude, which I have apologised for, you were equally rude and abrupt to me. However I do not really want to get into a lengthy debate here, and perhaps as you suggest we did not get off on the right foot. This may have tainted our experience, but it was not the only reason I gave you a bad review. As you say, you cannot please everyone and unfortunately we did not like the food and thought it was expensive. Our whole party felt it was a disappointing experience! On a positive note our waiter was very good and does not deserve a bad review. Finally I am delighted that all restaurants are opening their doors and life is getting back to normal and people have taking advantage of the Eat Out Scheme and I do appreciate you and everyone else is working in difficult circumstances and all of us need to do our part to keep our country safe. Very disappointing experience with hidden fees and inflated prices

I rarely write reviews, but my visit to this Chinese restaurant left me feeling ripped off and misled. From start to finish, it seemed like hidden charges were the main dish.

Key issues I encountered:

Hidden bowls fee: I was charged for bowls, which felt unnecessary and unusual. Tap water fee: I was charged for tap water, something I expect to be free or at least clearly stated if there’s a policy. Tea spoon of chili: I asked for a small amount of chili and was billed an extra 1.3 pounds for a tiny portion. Won ton soup: The four pieces of won ton soup were listed on the menu as 6.5 pounds but I was charged 7.9 pounds. Vegetables portion: A half plate of vegetables was priced at 25 pounds, which seemed exorbitant for the portion size.
