The Street — Restaurant in City of Edinburgh

This place could be SO much more. Went to CC and asked what else was around. It was pouring down rain and 45° when I stepped into CC Bloome where I had never been and they offered me a coffee and a towel, and I had a cocktail with the server who was overwhelmingly kind. I asked for a reference to go somewhere else and he recommended Street Bar. When I walked in Street Bar, I asked if there was any food and they told me they were not serving food until 10 o’clock. I looked around and there were four tables eating food all around me. There was a menu for food when I sat down with my beer. I decided to walk downstairs and wait until the kitchen “opened” and was pushed out of the way by someone working there so they could put trash cans and barstools all along the middle of the room where the bar is. I’m not someone who likes to write feedback and complaints but what happened yesterday was annoying, I went before 1 am with a couple of my friends and we tried to enter the place from the side entrance next to the stairs but we were asked by the bouncer to enter from the main door from the bar area, and then one of the bartenders (which I feel he’s the son of the owner of the place) asked us to go back to side entrance next to the stairs and we told him that one of the bartender’s asked us to use this entrance and then while we were there someone from the bar ( got black long beard) was pointing to the bouncer saying that don’t accept them, that was rude the way they did it, the least you could do is saying sorry, we are busy or we are not allowing any more people in. AVOID!! Was allowed in wearing a white dress and was in for 20 minutes, one bouncer allowed me in whilst another female bouncer asked me specially to leave because I was in a group with a hen party. I would understand if we caused a riot or wearing in appropriate wear, but I was in white whilst 5 others in black. To single me out and put me out whilst I was allowed in to begin with was very rude. Putting a single girl out on her own isn’t very wise and you would think another woman would understand this. I was standing with a drink not doing anything, female bouncer is on a power trip and needs to come down off her high horse. Will encourage everyone to avoid.
