Everything about Twelve Triangles is a solid 4-5 stars EXCEPT for the hygiene standards.
I want to rate this place higher. I really, really do. The sandwiches and pastries are delicious, and they have a wonderful selection of international food products for sale too. The only reason I'm rating it so low is because of the hygiene issues my partner and I saw when we visited.
We went in for lunch and bought two sandwiches. We sat at the table directly to the side of the counter; so, we had a clear view of the baristas at work. We watched a barista push some trash down in the bin with her bare hands to make space; she then used those same bare hands to handle and plate our food, without washing them in between. I've worked in hospitality; I know it gets busy and tiring. But no customer is going to want to eat a sandwich that's been handled by hands that have been fully in the bin.
EDIT: Thank you to the owner for their understanding reply. I'm sure the place will improve...
Read moreOne of the worst places I have ever visited to buy their products. Rudness of the staff is beyond any level of decency with approval of the manager. Its about the staff ,not customers and polite service. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND TWELEVE TRIANGLES on Dalry Rd. If you want to have a good customer experience,go to FRUTTIVENDOLO ,on 110 Dalry Rd ,who sell delicious sourdough bread and baguettes. The service and staff there is very nice, helpful and knowledgeable! They value their customers alot and it feels natural as they appreciate people buying in their shop.GO TO FRUTTIVENDOLO!!I RECCOMMEND THIS SHOP...

Toilets are down a step staircase with no continuous handrail. So not for wheelchair users and challenging if your walking is compromised. Prices are a bit high, but probably comparable to others in the haymarket area. I paid almost £30 (including voluntary 10% service fee) for a couple of large sandwiches, a soup and a tea. It would be helpful if prices were displayed more visibly, but maybe I just...
