Oh my! Twelve Triangles is my new, absolutely favourite local. Delicious toasties, excellently brewed coffee and the artisan bread selection is in perfect harmony with this small, quiet and beautifully arranged place. House Kimchi and St Andrews cheddar toastie on the charcoal sourdough - love it. Soup of the day - always too good to pass up. I don't want to spoil all of the goodness... Please come and enjoy!

Such a sweet place. We were recommended by our Airbnb host and tried it the first morning. The girls were sweet and helpful and the atmosphere in the shop is very nice. It’s clean and uncluttered and bright and airy which, we’ve found, is unusual in this old city where everyone is packed in cheek to jowl. The coffee was good and the almond croissants were tasty.

I’m delighted to discover this bakery/cafe that opens at 7am, a rare occurrence in the city. The friendly staff serves delicious coffee and baked goods. I had a flat white and cinnamon knot, as sandwiches weren’t available early. Though it’s pricier than other cafes, it’s a pleasant experience. It was a nice breakfast treat before leaving Edinburgh.

Everything about Twelve Triangles is a solid 4-5 stars EXCEPT for the hygiene standards.

I want to rate this place higher. I really, really do. The sandwiches and pastries are delicious, and they have a wonderful selection of international food products for sale too. The only reason I'm rating it so low is because of the hygiene issues my partner and I saw when we visited.

We went in for lunch and bought two sandwiches. We sat at the table directly to the side of the counter; so, we had a clear view of the baristas at work. We watched a barista push some trash down in the bin with her bare hands to make space; she then used those same bare hands to handle and plate our food, without washing them in between. I've worked in hospitality; I know it gets busy and tiring. But no customer is going to want to eat a sandwich that's been handled by hands that have been fully in the bin.

EDIT: Thank you to the owner for their understanding reply. I'm sure the place will improve...

One of the worst places I have ever visited to buy their products. Rudness of the staff is beyond any level of decency with approval of the manager. Its about the staff ,not customers and polite service. I DO NOT RECCOMMEND TWELEVE TRIANGLES on Dalry Rd. If you want to have a good customer experience,go to FRUTTIVENDOLO ,on 110 Dalry Rd ,who sell delicious sourdough bread and baguettes. The service and staff there is very nice, helpful and knowledgeable! They value their customers alot and it feels natural as they appreciate people buying in their shop.GO TO FRUTTIVENDOLO!!I RECCOMMEND THIS SHOP...

Artisan bakery and cafe. Basic wholesome food, great coffees and pastries, very friendly staff. It's a small place so it can get busy and feel a bit crowded. Toilets are down a step staircase with no continuous handrail. So not for wheelchair users and challenging if your walking is compromised. Prices are a bit high, but probably comparable to others in the haymarket area. I paid almost £30 (including voluntary 10% service fee) for a couple of large sandwiches, a soup and a tea. It would be helpful if prices were displayed more visibly, but maybe I just...
