Heather's — Restaurant in Cotswold District

Had a lovely family lunch here while visiting the UK. Tucked away in the most beautiful little space, I’d love to venture back on a warmer day to enjoy a meal and read a book at one of the outdoor tables. The staff were lovely the moment we walked in, this was some of the best customer service we received during our visit in the UK. I would highly recommend the walnut coffee cake most of all. It was moist, flavourful and the frosting was absolutely unreal! I wish Heather’s was local here in Canada to make it my regular spot. I pop in every now and then as I work in Cirencester, often they have a nice soup of the day. This visit was the first time I took my family along, including our 4yr old. I hadn’t noticed before, but they have a little shelf with crayons and games to keep little ones entertained. The food has always been very good, all sandwiches and paninis freshly made, they have a great selection of hot and cold drinks etc. What really impressed me was how brilliant all the staff were with our daughter, she loved the food and everyone was very kind when she wondered up to the till by herself to ask for more cheese for her Jacket potato. Lovely little cafe in a little courtyard of quirky shops and cafes. I sat outside in a shady spot as the sun was very warm. A very warm welcome from the staff who were very efficient and clearly explained the covid protocols they were working under. I ordered a warm chicken and bacon salad that was freshly prepared and contained a generous helping of both meats with plenty of salad leaves and a light dressing. It was the perfect sized portion for a lunch and there were plenty of cold and hot beverages to choose from. I opted for a glass of tap water though which was gladly provided.
