A minute walk from the train station, quiet and unpacked coffee shop. Friendly servers and a nice variety of breakfast sandwich & panini options all available for takeaway. Coffee was reasonably priced and IMO better than costa or Nero. Lots of seating and space which is refreshing than being cramped in a tiny store. Sausage BAP and the mushroom & mascarpone toastie, both were hot and fresh to eat. The bread was soft and light. Panini was chicken pesto, and an americano. Very delicious. Happy to come back whenever I’ll use the trains, fast and easy. 5/5

Beautiful cafe and it is very busy during lunch hours. Wanted to really try out the new Single Origin Espresso from India. Sadly it was already all finished. We had the Americano instead - very strong & very hot - absolutely to my taste. Loved it!! Will definitely visit again during off-peak time. It was hard to find any clean tables as all of them had crumbs, cups and hadn’t been cleared yet. So for that reason I can’t give them a full 5*.

Really nice, cosy interior. Friendly service. My son and I popped in for a quick snack and drink. He had a steak and cheese panini, which he said he enjoyed. He said the 'steak to cheese ratio' was good! I had a cookies and cream slice - it was delicious but I couldn't finish it as it was very rich. I had a deluxe hot chocolate as well, which was lovely. This was the first time we'd been in, but will definitely return.

I love Coffee #1 in my hometown and I am always happy to see it in new places. I recently started working in Coventry, and commuting via. the train has introduced me to the branch near the station. It's a really lovely place. Indoor outdoor seating, clean, interesting, much better coffee and coffee you can depend on to be made well consistently. I have had cappuccino, iced latte, latte, and espresso to date, all at perfect temperature and never underwhelming in any way, lol I don't know how Starbucks got so big selling burnt coffee .

The thing that really makes it a nice place to be when it's early or you've missed the train, is the staff. They are lovely people, and they do an amazing job, which I imagine is tiring at times. Extra special...

Nice decor and and good selection of drinks. We came on a Sunday and it took 13 minutes to get served although there were only 3 people in the whole place.

There were no sandwiches or ciabattas left probably because it's a Sunday and it's quiet.

We got two black Americanos and they were very large minimal crema and horrendously hot. The waitress was nice who told us to sit down and said she would bring our drinks. 5 minutes later the drinks come and our coffees put down half spilt on the tray.

No music or atmosphere.

I will try again on a weekday lunchtime maybe the selection will be better as well as more staff to get the drinks...

Gone cashless. I have to change my overall review and state I wont be going back after coming here at least twice a week for a few years. Nothing wrong with the venue, coffee or service.

But this week they have gone cashless. That's unacceptable in my mind. I, and many others, budget around cash spend (it's easier to control spend versus card). Going cashless excludes a large number of people.

The only other thing to note is the WiFi is not existent and you'll depend on local hotspots.

Now I'll find the nearest independent who accepts cash - Warwick Row is not far. Shame really, as I have enjoyed coming to this coffee shop for...
