I visited the lazy monkey with my family on a Saturday Night and was very impressed with the quality of food and the service. This restaurant is very different from your traditional ‘desi pub’, and has a focus on innovation and fusion. Food Review We tried most of the small plates and found them to be seasoned very well, and the perfect mix of English and Punjabi Food! The portion sizes and quality of ingredients used surpassed our expectations. For the main course we decided to try the Butter Chicken Pizza, Masala Fries, Lamb Bhuna, Garlic Naan and Lamb Shank. Every item again was seasoned perfectly and the portion size was also generous. The highlight of the main course was the Lamb Shank, we could definitely taste the lamb had been infused with spices! This was very different from a lot of places that simply give you plain lamb pieces in a rich sauce. To actually taste the spices in every bite of lamb was superb! For Dessert we had the Gulab Jamun, Lotus Cheesecake and Molten Cake. Now this is where this place excels! A lot of traditional Indian/Punjabi restaurants really had bad desserts or do not even offer desserts. We found the Gulab Jamun to be some of the best we had ever tried! We were told this was made in house and could tell it was very different from what we had tried in the past. I highly recommend you try this! The Lotus Cheesecake and Molten Cake were also of similar quality and added to the enjoyment of the whole meal. I should also add each dessert was severed with creamy vanilla ice cream which was great! Service Review The service was very good and our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us some recommendations on what we should order. The food arrived fast and overall the place had a very good vibe. Drinks Review We ordered a number of drinks and again, no complaints here, drinks arrived quickly and tasted great. Overall Rating 5/5, the service and food surpassed our expectations, and we will be returning. I would like to say a big thank you to Manny who looked after us during our dining experience.

My visit to The Lazy Monkey Bar & Indian Kitchen was a tasty adventure. We ordered a variety of dishes, and I must say, the flavors were on point. The burger was nice and mild, a safe choice. But what really stood out for us was the Samosa Chat - my wife loved it. It had that perfect blend of tangy and spicy. As for me, I couldn't get enough of the Loaded Fries with Butter Chicken. The combination of crispy fries and that rich butter chicken sauce was a taste explosion that I won't soon forget. The food hit the spot in terms of taste, and we left with satisfied taste buds. If you're looking for flavorful bites, definitely give the Pani Puri, Samosa Chat and the Loaded Fries a try.

Went here for the first time on Saturday 25th January and I was very impressed. Decor is on point and the service was very quick and friendly. It was quite busy but easily found a seat. You order your food and drinks at the bar using your table number and pay straight away. Cocktails are brought to your table. I ordered a Chicken Tikka wrap with mint sauce and chips. The food arrived within 10 minutes and was very tasty and filling. Cocktails are £7.50 each or two for a tenner. I ordered two, of course! Would definitely come here again and I highly recommend it if you want quick, tasty Indian street food. The place is in easy reach of the city centre and the train station.

Avoid... My friend resevered a table for us at 7pm the other weekend, we arrived just before 7pm and was told it would be a 45 minute wait to be seated. We decided to wait as we had booked in advance and trusted that it would be only be 45 minutes. While waiting for our table, service was incredibly slow we were told it was table service for drinks as opposed to going to the bar but the staff pretty much forgot about us. We didn't end up eating until past 9pm only to then realise that they shut at 10pm which meant dessert wasn't going to be an option. When the food came out for our group my curry was wrong so I had sit and wait for my curry while my friends ate and my naan bread went cold. I hoped after such a long wait the food would have been great but it was frozen ready meal standard and super overpriced for the quality. Lastly the curry I ordered needed a spoon to be eaten as it was just basically prawns in a thick sauce but I was only given a folk and after waiting again to try and get their attention to ask for a spoon by this point I just wanted to leave. I would not recommend this place to anyone... there are far better places in Coventry where you can eat for less where the service and food will be 1000 times better than this shambles...Emmy's Pitta is next door and I wish I went there instead because I would have eaten on time and had a...

I couldn't be more thankful for Manny and his exceptional customer service. I was let down by the Artisan for my 30th birthday, as they decided to double book me just two weeks before the event. In a panic, I contacted the Lazy Monkey to see if they could accommodate me and my 30 guests at the last minute. Manny invited me in to discuss the details of what I wanted, and he went above and beyond to ensure everything I wanted was taken care of and my requests were met. He even provided free tasters of the food and a cocktail for my boyfriend and me to try before we booked. The venue is cosy, stunning, and perfect for some drinks and food. All my guests were extremely impressed with the service, food, and venue, and they all want to revisit. I am extremely grateful to Manny for accommodating us on such short notice, and we had the best time. I will definitely come back, 100 times over. My 30th birthday at the Lazy Monkey was unforgettable. Thank you to Manny and the rest of the team at the...
