Veggie Corner — Restaurant in Coventry

Awful customer service with a lack of understanding and knowledge of the order process online. I rang prior to 21:30 to place an order to be told by the lady I have to order online. As I went to order online on their website the payment section would not let me process again this was prior to 21:30, I called back and spoke to a gentleman who told me to order on Uber eats or Just eat instead at this point it was now 21:30, AGAIN this would not let me order as it said the store was closed. I rang again at 21:33 where a lady again answered and told me to place the order even though on just eat it said the collection would be for the following morning. She reassured me after many times of me questioning this that as soon as I place my order it would be ready in the next 15 minutes even though it said collection would be for the following morning. I placed this order and paid and then rang as I was making my way to collect my order to then be told by a gentlemen that my order would not be ready as it’s past 21:30 and that would be for the next day. I made him aware that less than a couple of seconds ago one of his colleagues told me to place this order and that it would be ready. I continued on to ask him to pass me on to a manager in which he said there was no one of this ranking there and told me to cancel my order for my refund and cut the call. This isn’t the first time I have recieved such appalling customer service from VEGGIE CORNER, this service was also recieved when they were based at Sandy lane. You would think after relocating they would improve...

When I stopped eating meat veggie corner was what got me through that first year. Since moving from sandy lane it has gone down hill year after year. I still would order every so often from the new ball hill location. But after what they delivered the other day I feel compelled to write this… their naan bread WAS honestly the best I’d ever had (so fresh and tasty). I order a SFC (which was ok) in a naan bread and if I wasn’t hungry it would have gone in the bin. I can only compare it to a Asdas own frozen naan bread. How can you go from being the leading veggie food establishment in Coventry to know being leagues behind McDonalds!! I understand the cost of living crisis but you’ve pretty much doubled your prices, while halving your portions… with quality of products it seems none existent. Just remember when you were at sandy lane it was the veggies and vegan of Coventry that pushed your business to what it is today via word of mouth, posts on social media, taking friends/family members that would never have gone on their own. Very upset with what’s happened...

For over a year, we have been getting takeaways from here on almost a weekly basis and haven't had issues. But this time one of our orders, (a mixed kebab - double southern fried chicken), had way less pieces than what it usually does (no more than 4 pieces) whereas the other two mixed kebabs, (which were paneer and southern fried chicken), had much more southern fried pieces.

We called to ask as there are always more pieces and kept being told by the lady on the phone that it's a single kebab so has less....our receipt literally says "mixed kebab" and we paid more for the mixed kebab, yet received less product and we order this every week, so we are aware of how much will be in there. Tried explaining this to her but instead of offering us an alternative, she kept repeating the same thing.

Very disappointed as this was a go to place for us almost every week but the lack of understanding and service this instance was not...
