On a flying visit to Louth we looked for somewhere to have a bite to eat and discovered this 'Absolute Gem' - Being a very tall and large chap, I appreciate good food and good portions.... I certainly got that here. We ordered soup and sandwiches. WELL - It was a massive bowl of 'Home Made' soup which tasted wonderful. The sandwiches came with a variety of breads to choosefrom. I chose granary and the wife had wholemeal. I was shocked when they arrived...True Doorsteps. 😋 The bread was a lovely Thick Cut and the filling was 'Amazing'. I had cheese, coleslaw & Red Onion Relish. No word of a lie, the filling was about 4cm thick & tasted really scrumptious. With it we had 2 pots of tea (they were Big pots that gave 3 cups each and tasted lovely. The tea room itself was clean, airy & traditionally decorated. The staff were lovely too, very helpful and chatty. All in all, it was one of the Very Best Tea Rooms we have ever visited, with SUPERB Food, friendly staff and best of all, Substantial and Really Tasty food at an exceptionally good price.
