Chaotic and Rude. I pop into your southwold branch regularly and without fail I am absolutely astounded at the chaos and the rudeness of the staff, mainly the older blonde lady who has no idea how to communicate or deliver good customer service. She is very abrupt, never smiles and often verges on the point of rudeness. Today, at 1.30 I popped in to get a pastie. There were three people in front of me. I noticed that the last cheese and onion had gone but the tall smiley dark haired lady in the kitchen told old grumpy pants they would be ready in 3 minutes. When grumpy pants got to me I asked for a cheese and onion. She picked up a bag, moved to the hot counter then looked at me and said 'we don't have any' . I told her that they would be out of the oven in three minutes and was happy to wait. The two ladies behind me ordered two coffees from grumpy pants and asked if a table could be cleared and wiped so that they could sit. Grumpy pants almost shouted at them that they would have to wait. The ladies looked at me, I shrugged and said, she's always rude, it's not you. I cant understand why you would have such a rude and miserable old woman running your lovely southwold branch. She's never smiled in as l9ng as she's been working there. I'm surprised she hasn't turned the milk sour! I'll persevere as I like the pasties too much not too. Please get rid of her or send her on a customer...

Read moreVisited this place on Tuesday 28th Jan around about 2.00pm. It was very quiet. Ordered four drinks and 3 savoury snacks at the counter. After purchase we were told ham and cheese croissant would not be heated, despite that's how it should be served. The two cornish pasties were lukewarm and heavy. we were sitting chatting when we heard a voice shout out our drinks order as if checking it. we confirmed. a few minutes later we heard a rude shout, "we dont do "self service" (sic) . We assume she meant table service. There were 3 females working in the cafe with no other customers. Apart from the fact the staff were extremely rude for no reason, it would have been quicker and easier for the said lady to have just brought the tray over and if she felt it necessary to quietly make her point for next time. Dreadful service and awful experience. Avoid...
