Taco Bell - Chester Coliseum — Restaurant in England

Where to begin? First of all the restaurant, despite being small, was an absolute tip. Food and rubbish all over the floors and the tables were disgusting. A 35 minute wait for my food (which was a luke-warm greasy mess) A couple there had waited for over 40 minutes for theirs and when they asked for a refund a member of staff who’s name i didn’t get had a couldn’t care less attitude and tried dismissing them. When i asked a member of staff (who’s name badge read Adam) what the hold up was he told me, with a straight face, “lack of staff.” He told me this as 3 members of staff stood behind him doing absolutely nothing. The same member of staff repeatedly scratched his face and beard while preparing food as well. During this 35 minute wait i watched them throw about half the food they made into the bin and my only thought is why? I overheard another employee complain that they had too many orders while the screen above her showed no more than 8 orders, which from my fast food experience is not a lot at all. Not a single member of staff seemed to be a manager or if there was one they clearly lack the skills to do the job. My only thought is just do better. Been to the Liverpool taco bell many times and always had a good experience and decided to take my partner to cheshire oaks branch for the first time. Service was extremely slow and the tables where filthy and had to clean them away ourselves despite the resturant being very quiet and staff not busy atall. Food came out and sauce missing from fries which was slow to rectify. Quesidilla had chicken in which was meant to be just cheese and staff forgot to bring the correct one out and took 10+ minutes to make. Burrito was stone cold and when asked for a new one the staff held under the grill for less that 30 seconds so the outside was warm but inside yet again stone cold.....I noticed two other customers orders were also incorrect or missing items. 20 pounds for fast food for two people is expensive as it is but add the waiting times, uncleanliness, incorrect food and having to go back and ask for our order to be rectified 3 times is really poor. Since discovering it was there about a month ago, I’ve been a few times. I actually had no issues until now. The last time I went, I paid for extra ingredients and didn’t get them. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, yesterday before going, i looked up the reviews and one of the most persistent complaints were about staff scratching their beards and not wearing a snood. So, i thought id watch the staff when i went in. My god. I’m never going back. The young girl behind the counter dropped someone’s food on the floor and proceeded to look around to see if anyone noticed, picked it up and put it back on the prep station. It wasn’t until another staff member took a look around and clocked me staring at them, that they decided they couldn’t serve it. Not because of hygiene problems, but only because a customer caught them in the act. This is absolutely disgusting.
