I had the most despicable experience here. I attended on Easter Sunday so Cheshire Oaks was relatively quiet. We decided to grab a late lunch consisting of paninis and drinks. I ordered a Mozzarella and Tomato panini and a large iced oat vanilla latte. I am a vegetarian so watching the server cut my panini with the same knife that had just cut my dad's tuna sandwich was already making me weary.
Whilst waiting for my drink, I tried to get the attention of the barista (I believe is called Lily) just by saying 'excuse me' politely and was ignored for the first two times. I then requested that my iced drink have less ice in it as it's the way that I like it. The barista gave me a stare of death and said 'You didn't order it iced' and then gave a look to the other server like I was being an inconvenience. I am completely sure I ordered it iced as I don't like hot drinks.
She then aggressively threw the hot drink away that she was making and began with making the iced latte. Once she made it she then slammed it down on the non-serving side of the counter. I assume so the other members of the public didn't see her actions. I asked if that was the large as from what I could see it was quite a small cup. So she swiped it back off the counter and poured my medium drink into a large cup and then slammed it back down onto the counter.
The drink was splattered over the counter and the cup from the force. I told her that she didn't need to talk to me that way. She said 'that is your large drink' and walked off from behind the counter.
Whilst eating, me and my family could see her looking over at us until we left. I would not recommend this place for people with allergies or people that would like to enjoy the rest...
Read moreThe cafe is clean and presentable and the price is fairly average for the portions. Where this cafe is let down, is in the customer service. The one girl behind the counter who served us and the long queue of people behind us was lovely. However there was a more senior looking member of staff, who is either a manager or wants to be, who was told with her arms crossed behind the counter watching the long line of impatient customers get stressed, whilst the server was making drinks, and food, and taking orders whilst also taking payment.
Even if this was a training exercise for a new starter, it came across as rude as there was no communication for this and clearly stressed staff.
Thank you to the red haired waitress who was doing the job of the rest of...
Read moreWas going to eat in here this afternoon after shopping with my Son Inlaw. We were in the queue with what we wanted and asked for a peppermint tea upon being told there wasn't any, which was fine I asked for a Strawberry Cloudy Lemonade told there was no strawberries. All this was said without even looking up I said jokingly oh dear what kind of cafe is this, the young man did not even look at us I thought maybe he was having a bad day and said you can smile you know. He then said yeah but I don't get paid enough to smile. I told him not to bother with our order we did not wish to stay he was very rude. Customer service was disgraceful I am so angry 😡. Teach your staff...
