Honestly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Decided to get up early and head to Keswick for the day and stop off at Bryson's, as we've had food there before. But it was a first having breakfast, so thought we'd give it a try. The gluten-free options are pretty impressive and there is a LOT to choose from, so kudos to Bryson's for that! My mum had the bacon and egg cob, which she enjoyed (the bacon was thick and well-cooked) and I had the Full English Breakfast, and asked for scrambled egg instead of the usual fried eggs, which didn't seem a problem at all to the lovely young lady who served us. Along with our breakfast, mum had a mug of tea and I had an apple juice. The breakfast was lovely and everything was cooked to perfection. The sausages were of great quality and, I imagine, were butchers ones which is great. Was a great way to start the day, very filling and was still full even later on in the day. And everything altogether? Came to a very reasonable £17 and something pence (cannot remember exactly off the top of my head). So if you're looking for a great way to start the day, Bryson's has a fabulous selection to set you up!

Stopped in here for a light lunch during a shopping visit. Felt the cost was a bit on the high side. I don't mind paying more if the service, food or both are of an exceptional standard but sadly that was not the case here. The staff were professional and courteous, but lacked that genuine warmth and welcoming approach. Kind of made me feel just like a number being herded through and fed so the money could be extracted from my pocket as quickly as possible. The food and drink order arrived at the table in a reasonable time considering the busy service. There was nothing especially wrong with the food, just seemed a bit flat and average. Ham sandwich wasn't particularly deeply filled, and the salad garnish was the same shredded iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumber mixture that I've made myself many times before when I don't have the enthisiasm to prepare anything better. The premises were clean and bright with a nice buzz of activity about the place. If only the food had sparkled like the cutlery this could have been so much better.

First All the food looks amazing but seems like people who works the bakery not friendly at all not just one person I mean all of them. If you have no passion doing your job why you still there and make the bakery looks cold and awful? Second We ordered Custard Tart :terrible taste even M&S’s much better than yours, cinnamon rolls: very nice, chocolate muffin: it was okay just like regular flavour, chocolate cake slices: so bad strange taste more like cake powder made, steak baked: very good hot and fresh, steak pie: very nice also has carrots inside. Third Your pastry chef needs improvement I don’t taste happy in your sweet cake. The price is Fairly good especially in this kind the tourist town however the service definitely the big problem in the future. Last Disabled and young kids unfriendly place. Only third floor has toilets. Terrible.

This is a review of Bryson's customer service only as I didn't even get the opportunity to sample the quality of their products. I have never been before yet have walked past many times.

I've heard many rave reviews about this place so thought we'd try a takeaway coffee before they closed, it was before 16:45 and the outside seating was still packed. We stood behind a family currently getting served (at an appropriate social distance of course) who were taking their time asking about scones and cakes and chatting and at one point sent a member of their family on an errand to ask uncle Billy if he wanted a cream cake. When the server finally finished their two trays worth of cakes, coffees and pastries at a cost of £26, she met us next in the queue and bellowed "NO MORE TEAS OR COFFEES!". It was 16:55, there was ample time to make two takeaway coffees.

We had stood there around 10 minutes, arrived well before closing time, there were still loads of customers outside and it wasn't yet 5pm. This was disappointing and poor customer service. There's no reason the server couldn't have shouted over and said there wouldn't be time to serve us because of the snails in front and we didn't have to stand there like a pair of idiots. We could've bought from the cafe opposite instead.

My advice to Bryson's would be to please ensure you serve people who arrive before your closing time - it was quite rude to allow us to stand there all that time and then refuse to serve us. I will...

As a visitor yesterday to Keswick, I thought Brysons in Keswick high street looked from the outside like a lovely place to stop for a coffee and snack. How wrong was I !!! Once inside I pointed to a Ā£1.10 cheese scone and said I wanted that with just butter plus a Ā£3.80 cup of cappuccino, and i confirmed I wanted to eat inside. First of all the cashier tried to charge me over Ā£9 as payment for these 2 items. I was shocked and I commented that this price must be wrong ! Her demeanour and response was completely ā€œoffā€ but it was only because I continued to complain that she reluctantly change the price stating the excuse that she had charged me twice for one of the items!! She then quoted me a total price of Ā£7.05 !!! Again I questioned what their percentage mark up was for eating in and her continued ā€œoffā€ response was that she didn’t know and that she had no control over how much the mark up was !!! I am horrified at the total lack of respect, knowledge, politeness or care of the staff in Brysons to adequately respond to either my question or complaint and I therefore intend to follow up this complaint with Brysons head office. Needless to say I will not use Brysons anywhere, ever again and will encourage others to steer well clear...

Probably the worst management and policies of anywhere I have visited in many years of visiting the lakes. Hopelessly unaccommodating, a deep seated ā€˜can’t do’ attitude from the staff and no reasonable reason offered for any of the delays. Even when we offered to go and get our own additional sandwich from the deli downstairs we were told that’s not how it works, we offered to pay extra, even pay the restaurant and the deli for the same sandwich, still no. You desperately need someone, anyone, with an ounce of initiative to have some hands-on control of this establishment. Seemingly there was no manager working today. That is very apparent. Pt. 2 Having complained about the apparent lack of service available, the food we had ordered arrived and the gluten free scone was mouldy. We challenged the waitress and she apologised as it was ā€˜one from the display’ rather than a fresh one. What on earth are your staff and management playing at? I’m sure your staff may not enjoy fielding customers complaints but a venue that allows this kind of retaliation against perfectly reasonable requests from customers should be considered...
