Havenā€™t been in a Costa in many years but I was stuck in a train station and thought Iā€™d give them a chance. They donā€™t know what a flat white is. I Ordered a flat white and was given a 12oz latte. When I told them I was given a latte by mistake they insisted that it was in fact a flat white. In what world is a flat white 90% milk? They offered to make me a cortado instead so I canā€™t fault the staff, but how such a large chain be so clueless on such a simple aspect of coffee baffles me. Passable latte anyways 5/10.

Staff very helpful and kind. This Costa shop is very busy, non stop customer but staff was able to accomodate lots of customer with appropriate waiting time. Highly recommended!!

Havenā€™t been in a Costa in many years but I was stuck in a train station and thought Iā€™d give them a chance. They donā€™t know what a flat white is. We went in yesterday evening for coffees whilst waiting for our train. Staff at Costa Chester Railway station are amazing! Service is so quick and they are all so professional and polite when serving people (to my mind under intense pressure as it is always so busy!) This next comment has nothing to do with the staff but the new decor!! Absolutely horrendous!! The naive images of teacup, coffee pot, spoon etc on the far wall are so awful! The monochrome photos were wonderful, gave the cafe character and atmosphere. The coffee beans on the wall are equally awful! Who makes these decisions? Clearly someone with no taste. Alas Cafe Neros have more classy decor and...

While we were waiting to order, we saw that the tap had been left running unnecessarily for couple of minutes and the staff completely ignored it and didnā€™t turn it off so we decided to ask the staff kindly to turn it off not to waste the water. Apparently being a responsible customer makes the staff annoyed so the lady said that she would turn it off if that made us happy, as if we were making a fuss. First of all, whatā€™s that sarcasm for and why do you have to be irresponsible about the amount of water you waste?! People kindly remind you of it and the first thing is to get annoyed? In the end, we left the place...
