A Wonderful Experience! COXON’S seehouses, and I stopped by an ice cream shop and a cafeteria. The ice cream shop had a variety of delicious flavours — every one I tried was amazing! The cafeteria was just as impressive, with tasty food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and even wished me well, which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Coxons in Seahouses is definitely my top spot for ice-cream in Northumberland now! I went for the butterscotch twist in a honeycomb/chocolate dipped cone it was lush! The staff were so friendly and the place looked spotless! We hit lucky and there was no queue at around 3pm, although I'd be happy to wait ages for another! Can't wait to return and try the other flavours!

My partner and I stopped for ice cream, and I must say, it's a must-visit ice cream shop when you're around. The queue was massive when we were buying our ice cream, but it was definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend trying the flavor burst! The staff was working alone but worth it to wait.

Coxcon’s Ice-Cream Show with Coffee and Breakfast (Since 1927)

Coxcon has been a name of tradition and taste since its founding in 1927. Over the decades, it has evolved into more than just an ice-cream show – it’s an experience that blends nostalgia with delightful flavors.

The ice cream is the true star here: creamy, rich, and prepared with recipes that have stood the test of time. Each scoop feels like a nod to the brand’s long heritage, yet fresh and exciting enough to appeal to today’s tastes.

Pairing ice cream with freshly brewed coffee and hearty breakfast options makes Coxcon stand out. The coffee is aromatic, perfectly balanced, and complements the sweetness of the desserts. The breakfast menu adds warmth and variety, making it a perfect spot for both early risers and those looking to enjoy a relaxed mid-morning treat.

What makes Coxcon truly special is not just the food but the sense of history it carries. To know that this place has been serving since 1927 gives every bite a story – one of tradition, quality, and passion.

Whether you are an ice cream lover, a coffee enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys a comforting breakfast, Coxcon’s Ice-Cream Show is a must-visit. It’s where history meets flavor, and where every visit...

Was dashing to the public toilets near Coxan's and my 3 year old started crying as 'it was coming out', so I had to (shamefully) let him have a tinkle on the side street pavement next to the side of Coxan's.

The owner came out and informed me there was a toilet further on (looking disgused at me and my child). I explained I new this but he was busting, is only 3 years old and I am embarrassed we have had to do this. She continued to look at me and said nothing, so I asked what her recommendation would be in this scenario... to let him wee in his trousers? She look at me (still disgusted) pointing at his wee and said 'but look'. Unbelievable. It was in front of people and very embarrassing for me and my poor boy. If a child needs to go they need to go and shouldn't be humiliated in front of people. He is 3 years old. Rude, embarrassing, uncalled for and...

Staff unhelpful and not interested. We called in early morning for breakfast and they had more staff than customers but food, drinks, cutlery not brought to the table just plonked on the counter for the paying customer to collect. Surely they can walk the extra 10 steps round the counter to actually serve you at your table? Breakfast poor and despite ordering the Full English it arrived minus mushrooms and when questioned about the lack of our fungi friends were told "oh yes we know but the shop round the corner is not open yet for us to get some" Would have been nice for them to actually tell us and maybe apologise or even offer an alternative option, but that would be too much to ask, just like bringing your order...
