Stopped in for some brunch on Bank Holiday Monday, seated straight away and informed the breakfast menu had finished early due to running out of certain items.

We ordered via the QR code on the table, and we waited approx. 30 mins for our drinks to arrive. I ordered a vanilla milk shake and a latte for my wife. The milkshake consisted of a pint of milk with a dollop of vanilla ice cream in it. It was incredibly basic and tasteless. The latte was fine, but I was surprised to find that Ed's didn't stock coffee syrups.

We waited a futher 20/30 mins for our food to arrive. I had ordered the chicken and waffles and my wife the all-day veggie breakfast.

Again, we were informed shortly before the food arrived that the restaurant had run out of hash browns, and offered chips as an alternative.

Breakfasts finally arrived a good hour after we ordered, my chicken consisted of a large goujon in a maple better, with half a waffle and a good dose of maple syrup, i was left slightly disappointed with the portion size and minimal amount of chicken. Food tasted fine though.

Lastly, my wife's veggie breakfast arrived, with chips. Instead of hash browns. First thing we noticed, no eggs. I got up, rechecked the menu, and requested the missing eggs at the counter. As the waitress came to check on us we discovered that the veggie breakfast was lukewarm, every item was nearly cold to touch. We informed the waitress who took the food away, only to return it 5 minutes later with the eggs. We can only presume they microwaved the meal to reheat it.

On the whole, a very disappointing visit. Service was minimal, very little interaction with staff, food was basic to awful and drinks average. We hadn't visited a Ed's Dinet for probably 2/3 years, but we will be in no...

We got sat down to eat at Ed's diner at around 3 o'clock for dinner by the senior manager who did not inform me and my parents of the fact you have to order online through a QR code after the 30 minute wait my dad asked one of the waitresses who were incredibly polite for the toxic work environment they seemed to be in. We ended up ordering off my phone because my parents aren’t particularly tech savvy .5 minutes after the bill had gone through and the cost had been taken off my card the junior manager came out and said they had ran out off wings at this point we were fed up especially since they must have know that they were going to run out before we purchased them which brakes one of the consumer rights acts. we end up asking to get refunded which the junior manager said it takes 3-5 business days to get back. She ends up giving us a refund receipt via email which ended up being wrong as she had sent us £39 not the £45 we originally payed because she hadn’t given us back the money we payed for the wings which they didn’t have. Also be mindful of online check out because it automatically tips 10% of whatever you bill comes to. I end up asking for head office email addresses which I never got given.the senior management ended up coming out and And just explaining to us what we already knew she was extremely condescending which came of as disrespectful to my farther and then got away as quickly as she could. We ended up just walking out and we were gonna just take it up with head office as we have never met such incompetent management staff but the waitresses were so kind and kept asking us if we were ok thought...

Went to Ed’s dinner at Cheshire oaks outlet village in Chester . Very poor service and food . It’s was a Shambles ! . Arrived no front of house to seat us so found our own table . Waited 5mins no one came over to us although the young blonde waitress looked over at us 3 times . Had to find our own menu then waited a further 10 mins. We had to ask if someone could take our order :/. Waited 10mins and got our drinks but had to ask for sugar as none was offered . Sat waiting for over 40 mins for our food while observing over 17 people come in that stood there waiting to be seen . Some sat down but others just walked out while the waitress just ignored them . I over heard one telling a customer there was over a 25mins wait on food and had no breakfast food left ??? This was 11.30am on a Sunday morning . After having to ask where our food was the waitress went off to find out and came back 10 mins later with our breakfast . It was terrible . Stone cold precooked bacon , stone cold peppery mushrooms , uncooked jelly eggs and cold beans !! It’s was so bad I had to call the waitress over to complain . She explain they were short staffed and had run out of food . The young blonde girl looked miserable as hell . As though she has been told to clean her room by her mother . We couldn’t eat what had been put In Front of us , we complained and the waitress told us we didn’t have to pay and took the food away . Never again . It wasn’t just us . Several tables around us didn’t eat the...

1. grilled chicken was undercooked. Asked our server to help who returned the food to the kitchen. When arriving, 4 colleagues (1 was the manager) poked and disected the breast on plain show to the restaurant. One comment included “anyone who has seen a chicken breast before knows it can be pink in the middle”, i then went over to discuss this appalling service with them and commented that I am aware that chicken can have pink veins in however it should not be cold and pink in the middle. 2. ordered refill of bottomless drink and it never arrived despite asking twice. The price paid was for one drink. not good! 3. burger bun was burnt. I asked our server to help and when arriving at the kitchen and asking the chef to help, he rolled his eyes and slapped another burger top on. This is food, not a toy!! 4. Amount of Avacado - less than 1 spoonful of Avacado for £1.50 was not acceptable - which our server did resolve 5. unclean and disgraceful baby changing. flooded floor, poo smeared on the wall and overflowing sanitary bin.

When we came in and asked for a table for two, even though we could see plenty of clean, empty tables, the girl rather abruptly said they ask the customers to queue outside. There wasn't a sign that we could see stating this or anyone in front of us and there wasn't a queue outside. She said there would be about a 15 minute wait. Then, as we turned to leave, she said she could split a table!! That really put my husband off. The food was hot and tasted good, but I felt like I was eating McDonald's quality food. For £40 I expected more. We ordered two chicken burgers with fries and a side of halumi fries. Also, we were told to order using the QR code on the table. That, to me, brought the "American diner" theme atmosphere down. Although, when we were served the staff were friendly. I would probably go to Five Guys instead based on the quality of food alone.
