Absolutely terrible. I vowed years ago never to go to Frankie & Benny's in Plymouth after the quality in their food and service nose dived. I thought it may just be the restaurant in Plymouth, unfortunately no. They must teach the staff to not care less about their customers and the food must be poor quality across their entire chain. Where to begin. I'm 51 and 6'2, I don't require a crane to be seated, but I'm not small. So even though the restaurant was very quiet, I think it would've been nice to seat two older guys in a 4 seater table for a bit of room, than the 2 seater which I could barely get my leg over the table foot. The starter arrived fairly quickly and I have to say, the calamari was nice, no quarrels there. The main meal took forever to turn up. We watched the two servers spend ages talking to each other rather than serve. There was food left under the heat lamps for 10 to 15 mins before being sent to tables. In fact, we watched who can only be the person I charge that eve come over and loudly say "whats going on" and could just about hear her say "theres food there". I had a burger, and I think if you sent it through a mangle, not one drop of juice would've come out of it, it was so dry. No flavour at all, in fact, I had to put ketchup on it because it was so tasteless. Needless to say, I will never eat at one of this chains...
Read moreI had ordered a beetroot and bean burger and was given a soya based burger instead. When I questioned this I was told they were out of the beetroot and bean burger and made the soya on instead. I was never asked if this was ok, they just assumed it would be ok. That’s not good customer service. They offered to take it back but I was hungry and didn’t want the food to be wasted so ate it, but not happy that the sever and cook assumed it would be ok. I should have been told.i should have been told, what if I had allergies? I spoke to the manager Maureen, who apologised but was not very concerned about the whole issue, just put it down to the item being removed off the menu and not being updated on their system I feel is a poor excuse. At this point, I didn’t have it in Me to converse any further With her as she wasn’t really interested, so I left. It is really sad because I’ve eaten at Frankie And Bennys for years now and the service isn’t what it used to be. The atmosphere was just very. Hardly anyone there so I can’t understand you know how there was space for any errors really if you’re not that busy so shame used to be a good...
Read moreWe hadn’t booked a table but decided to call in at Frankie and Benny’s and see if they could fit us in. We walked in and there were plenty of tables free so we took that as a good sign that they could fit us in. Unfortunately after standing at the front desk for nearly 10 minutes and numerous members of staff walking straight past us, they then decided to tell my Husband, Myself and our 3 year old that they were too busy and to try a pub 5 minutes away. We weren’t annoyed by the fact that they couldn’t fit us in, we were annoyed by the fact that staff walked directly next to us yet nobody spoke to us or bothered to tell us that they weren’t going to be able to give us a table to save us standing there for 10 minutes, only to be turned away. I can see this restaurant closing down soon like a lot of the others if they are turning customers away despite having lots of tables free and treating them with such disregard...
