My wife, her brother, his husband and me, thought we would have a nice meal out on our weekend in Lyme Regis. 3 crab cakes ordered, tasteless, expensive and probably better to get them at the local chip shop. Whereas cheesy garlic bread for £4.80 was well overpriced for my 2 slices. So, for mains, Fish pie with seasonal vegetables, which is actually microwaved slop with salad. I would suggest they change their supplier and may be get some Birds eye fish pies in. Belly pork would have been just about passable if a toddler had made it. Steak and chips with peppered sauce for £20, involved under cooked frozen chips, over cooked steak and teaspoon of sauce on the steak. Unfortunately, no tomatoes, no salad, no vegetables. Nobody asked if the dinner was ok until we had all finished, at which point I had eaten maybe half the steak, and perhaps 3 chips. I explained that I was extremely disappointed with the steak and frozen chips. At which point the waitress told me they are not frozen and that they would not do anything about it. We then had to have a stand-up argument with her about the chips - she did not want to try one - and I do not blame her. Off she popped and came back after talking to her boss, I had obviously upset them by pointing out their short comings, so in her incredibly stroppy manner said I could have £3.50 off the bill for the chips. I thought it may be best to talk to the manager. An angry man came out to tell me, that knocking £3.50 off th bill was more than fair and he would bring me the bill. I explained to him that customer service might involve an apology that we were not happy and offering to do something for us may calm the situation down. He responded quite negatively to this and sent his bouncer out to sit by us and bang about on the table to make his presence known. I went to the bar and explained that I am now fed up with this farce, so give me the bill and I will knock off the price for the steak dinner and pay for everything else. This involved a further stand-up argument in the restaurant, while most of the customer watched and laughed. This went on for at least 10 minutes. When I finally got the bill off him, I paid as I had promised £120 for 4 of us, not including the steak. So not cheap, the food is not worth the money, but worst off all is the attitudes of the waitress and the manager. I suggest you do yourselves a favour and do not bother with this place unless you want...

Sorry to have to do this, last year we had a lovely experience the food was excellent as was the service on the three occasions we had visited, so was extremely looking forward to return visit to be totally disappointed we tried ordering food we had before which were still advertised on their website to be told they no longer do after last year and when we reluctantly ordered sandwiches we sat for over 45mins to near on 1 hour when we asked staff member politely how much longer we were assured ours would be the next to be served in the next 5mins we sat for a further 15mins to our dismay another order of sandwiches came out and served to another couple who had came into restaurant a long time after we had arrived, at this point we extremely disappointed and hungry, that in all the time we waited no staff apologies for delay until we took the decision to pay for drinks and leave, which to our gratitude the gentleman who may own the restaurant waved I can't even excuse them that they were very busy we had passed other restaurants who were, I hope online menu is renewed so future customers won't be disappointed ,I would also recommend that staff should be made aware that it's also polite to check on and inform customers especially if there's long delays ,so unfortunately I won't be posting any...

I am rating this ‘restaurant’ on the basis of the service I received. My brother in law and I located the restaurant earlier in the day and asked a pleasant gentleman behind the bar if they could cater for us. After being told this wouldn’t be a problem, we then rang our family and asked them to join us. Upon arrival we were then turned away from the venue by the delightful manager, Melissa. I am afraid to say she may be in the wrong job. We were refused a table from this lady who made no eye contact and kept her head down staring at her iPad. This could have been justified as she later informed us that they were full to capacity. Sadly, they may all need more staff training as no tables inside to cater for, 5 staff behind the bar and not much movement to justify even a slight sweat. We were also told by Melissa that no restaurant in Lyme Regis would take a large walk in group. This is a false statement as we went to the restaurant next door who accepted us immediately and we spent a lot of...

Food was fantastic on the 1st day we went, recommend the Special -Harbour Inn Fish Platter (lobster and prawn cocktail, Portman crab, tempura mackrel, smoked mackrel pate, salmon and salmon in puff pastry). We shared a special with a side of chips it was more than enough for two. Staff were super friendly and helpful on day one. Went back the following day and they had mixed up our table booking time meaning rather than being sat for 1.30 we did not get a table until 2.10, customer service was definitely not as good the 2nd time (different staff). 2nd order was again from the specials menu: vegetarian aubergine lasagne and the scallops with katsu curry (also the main menu beer battered fish and chips). Recommend booking in advance as its often fully booked.

We had dinner here for our first night in Lyme Regis. We booked online and were seated on arrival with a baby chair waiting. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was the highlight and it was exceptional! Both my partner and I had the seafood platter special and it was delicious. The right amount of everything with bread on the side. They had children's menus and our boys had the fish goujons with chips. The pricing was very reasonable and probably the best value for money compared to other places we ate for dinner in Lyme Regis. We had other pricier fish restaurants booked for the following two evenings we were in Lyme and this one was by far the best. I did take a photo, but had already eaten some of it by then as it looked so appetising!

We visited on a very busy summers day. Service was okay. Seating outside a bit crowded (maybe more seating options for small and larger groups would make sense) glasses left out on tables, but was very busy so understandable. Located on a busy strip right by the beach. Only had a drink here this time, people trying to order food but the had stopped and it was only 1.30 so must have sold outvery quickly. Drinks in plastic cups which I don't particularly like. Didn't use all facilities so cannot comment on them. Not sure if I would revisit. Maybe out of season to give them a fair review.
