A bit disappointed really.
Lovely lady behind the till, very friendly, and order came as requested. The young chap who brought them out to us also very friendly.
However quite aggravated at the pricing. We ordered a crab baguette (Ā£9.50) and a crayfish and rocket baguette (Ā£8.50). We asked if we could add tomatoes and cucumber to them both, at which point the older guy making the sandwiches in the back announced, āIt doesnāt come with that!ā, a bit standoffish. We also ordered a white choc and raspberry frangipane (Ā£2.50) which was great.
However with our additions of the toms and cucumber, the price was then £24.50; the two base prices and frangipane came to £20.50, meaning they had charged an extra £1 per ingredient on both sandwiches!
This is frankly ridiculous given the fact that without these extras, the sandwich was basically bereft of salad filling. Fair play, there was plenty of crab and crayfish in both sandwiches but I think when youāre paying such a high base price for the sandwich in the first place, Ā£1 per extra salad item is obscene. And contrary to what they say about listing these prices, these extra costs were definitely not listed.
Also the baguettes were not crispy and didnāt seem especially fresh - it was a Sunday, maybe delivered the day before?
Shame, but definitely has potential to be good. More transparency about extra costs...

There seem to be a lot of gullible people reviewing this place. We were sucked in by the promise of locally sourced fresh crab etc. Sadly what you get is far from what you would imagine. A crab sandwich for £4.80 was one slice of bread spread thinly with mushy crab. It could have been from Tescos. And I do mean THINLY spread, and very ordinary. I tried the crayfish salad box which contained about two measley table spoons of tasteless crayfish, again could have come from anywhere, and a large amount of plain salad which filled up the rest of the space. All for £5.80! Sheer extortion. We love our seafood and this was tasteless, expensive and with measley portions. Like a lot of places in popular seaside resorts they can rely on a fast turnover of people who are unlikely to complain. People pay their dosh and think it's great. Well not us, and we wouldn't...

Visiting today 26/5/24 was shocked to see the price for a non speciality bagetteĀ£5.50 and the other fillings a whooping Ā£10.50 .It would be interesting to get feedback on justification on the ā¬10.50 price,i am sure there is a reason but Tesco sandwiches it is for me and family in future in these money...
