Very lovely place, that very small bridge next to the mill is extraordinary. You can have a walk under the bridge but you will be disappointed because you can't actually reach the middle small bridge from the water. Maybe there is a way, but I couldn't find it. However, if you at the end of the Swan parking and you enter the gate, on the right side there will be a nice walk path which will take you along the river. Being so silent, you will be able to enjoy the ducks sounds and other animals and birds. Really good for a walk. Be aware, once you are on that path, you will not have any bridge to cross the river on the other side. You will have to walk at least 6km or...

A Truly Incredible Experience... You can't get much 'greener' than this mill and its flour production. The chap in the mill, Michael, told us all about the long history of the mill and was very knowledgeable on how the whole mill functioned ... How they managed to build such a finely tuned piece of machinery all those hundreds of years ago, without precision tools, was simply amazing. We saw the wheels and cogs turning, making you realise how dangerous it must have been in the days before 'Health & Safety' !! The lady in the mill , Chrissie, was friendly and chatty. It was a wonderful experience, and would highly...

Magical place. Lovely lady greeted us with such a warm welcome. Then met Miller Michael, a real fountain of knowledge. The Mill itself has another time charm to it, so much history. It seemed rather quiet while we were there, but thats actually because we were still there during the start of their lunch break. We were not made aware they had closed for lunch...so kind of them not to push us out of the door! But that sums this gem of a place and the people running it up! And, final bonus we bought two bags of organic stone milled flour which tastes...

Ancient working mill still producing flower as a working museum preserving the old way of life for the Lyme Regis millers. We arrived out of curiosity and found friendly staff assistant who encouraged us to join the Millers working tour of the water mills inner mechanics. Really nicely done tour and look back through milling history with the guy who knew every aspect and happy to talk and explain and answer questions. Donations for the tour and look around in the donation boxes in the shop. Great worthwhile visit even for the kids.
