Deli-Weli Food Store & Hog Roast — Restaurant in Great Britain

I left the review below in the summer after a 3 week stay in Lyme. On reflection It is quite harsh and probably a bit out of order, now some time after i have gotten over the shock of how the price of visiting lyme has risen. The owner of the Deli has kindly contacted me and we have swapped emails several times. I could have ignored the request but that would have been out or order. The new owner ( this year) has told me she inherited the prices and I guess with a new venture comes the trepidation that it's going to work or fail. Always a risk of course. Its great to see a business respond to a review in a bid to see what they can do to to improve if any. So, what I can say and I should have left positives as well as negatives. The shop looks great, the staff were friendly and helpful and I genuinely hope this business thrives in the future. I will be back next year for a slice of humble pie and thanks to Tracey for reaching out.

We popped in on Friday on the way back to the car and picked up some cannolis. We had them to take away and they were delicious. I was blown away by the excellent service from a lovely lad serving, so much so that I went back in to the shop and gave a tip! He was very young and I expect helping out in the holiday, he was so polite, helpful and professional. We visited other places in Lyme that day and had atrocious service, as I said to him, a lot of others could learn a lot from him. Yummy cannolis and excellent service, well...

I've been a regular customer here with my wife for some months now and have fantastic service, and food every time. I'd like to take a moment here to suggest that if you're reading the other reviews that are hard on the staff, take them with a spoonful of salt. The staff, for the most part, are hard working teens, dealing with one of the worst times to work in modern human history. Some more patience and empathy from customers is what's needed. We can't all have 20 years experience at the age of 18. Keep up...
