Read this first. We are a bunch of Indians from London visiting locally. Thought we try out this Nepalese/Indian restaurant. Ready? Service was good by waitresses who were absolutely sweet and accommodating. Condition was fair needs some modernisation. Food: What can we say..it was like eating out of a bottle of sauce from a supermarket. If this is what they think curry should be then they need to really go to a proper restaurant. I make far better curries than this place. I ordered a chicken madras and know what and how it should taste. It was and can put my money on was a chicken madras bottle from a supermarket with added chicken pieces which wasn't fresh. Wife ordered a panner masala and I tasted it as well, it was sooo sweet as if you was eating tomato ketchup with a lot of sugar in it. We mentioned this and the manager tried to tell US that this is how it's meant to taste. There's no way he thinks he can fool us. He went to remake it for us only to add more coconut milk to the curries and some pepper to the chicken madras. They tried to resolve it but in the end it was not how Indian food should be, we know both Nepalese food and Indian food and this restaurant is neither and far from it. Try MOmo house if you are in Wembley next time. That's proper...
Read moreThis isn't a restaurant. It's a takeaway with a few tables thrown in.
If you are a sit-in diner you are definitely not the priority. We waited 10 mins to be asked if we wanted a drink. Ordered a bottle of wine & two glasses of water & poppadoms. 10 mins later I had to go to the bar to remind them. 10mins after that it arrived.
Main course was ordered. we waited 30mins no food.
The wine wasn't the wine I order on the menu it was a cheap swap out. We left the money for the 2 pops (we ordered 3 but hey who is counting), the wine and tiny amount of pickle they begrudgingly gave us and left.
Don't do it to yourself.
To be clear, it wasn't even busy - two tables had eaten, the pair of us and another table of two were left waiting while the delivery driver was coming and going.
I left a two star review as nobody believes a one star and they don't get read. The only positive is that you remember bad meals more than good ones. This was so awful it was...
Read moreLook out for the free delivery when ordering takeaway. It's not free. We placed an order over the phone for delivery. We were quoted £32.50 for the food and told it would be 20 to 30 minutes. After an hour we called to find out where the food was. We were told that there had been some confusion and that they thought the order was for collection. The food finally arrived but the price had gone up to £35.80 at the door. Several minutes later after waiting in the rain while the driver called the restaurant from my front door for me to pay the remainder of the bumped up price, we were left with a bitter taste. No apology or attempt to rectify their cock-up. The food is good, but the customer service is poor and the delivery certainly isn't...
