I visited here on the 18th June 25 at 20:00hrs and ordered the Smoky B (a brisket type burger). However what I actually got was thin strips of cold grey meat that tasted rancid, I have a feeling that there may be meat storage and hygiene issues on these premises and I have reported it to Cornwall Council. The signs were all there dirty tables, sticky floors and we should of turned around and legged it, but one of our group was insistent that we try it, rather than walk too far, this was a big mistake. Why do staff ask if you enjoy your meal and when you say no, still charge you? I paid because I actually felt sorry for the staff member, but my advice is to stay clear of this spot. If the owners of the company need to know how Brisket should be cooked they need to contact me and I will show them, it's very poor, please stay clear. the place is a disaster. Regards Shaun Kent.

I thought this was going to be a 4 star review (not a 5 as the outside is a bit grubby, but it's outside 🤷🏽‍♀️).. When we asked about vegan/gluten free options the staff were really helpful, and when I went to the bar to order the staff were again patient. But when I went back to order a vegan iced coffee they wanted to charge me 75p extra, nearly the same price as a carton of oat milk, so I checked how much they were charging for a veganised version of the milkshake we'd ordered which omitted the cows milk, dairy ice cream and dairy whipped cream and replaced these with oat milk and ice, 25p extra. Edit: Always question/complain after you've received your food. I took two bits of my sausage and it tastes like perfume where as my daughter's does not.

Absolutely amazing place with amazing food served by lovely people who had no problems catering for my multiple allergies the man who dealt with me was so caring and it really made me feel comfortable in the fact we could eat safely was made to feel worthy of eating there not put down for having allergies or being a problem. I also felt confident to freely breast feed my daughter without judgment and was offered a place to park her pram and a High chair for her at the table when I come back to visit Cornwall again I am making the effort to visit these again I love how it's been put in a old church makes the place feel amazing to sit in. Thankyou for such a positive experience gives me hope that others will follow such an amazing example 💛 thankyou

Booked a table for 5:30, and having been told we could only have it for 90 minutes, we expected we'd be on our way in good time to get to the theatre at 730.

On arrival we were greeted and seated promptly. One individual approached to take our drink order and we asked for a few extra minutes. Time passed and another server returned to take our drink and food order. Some more time passed and another server came over to take our order, which showed the lack of communication between staff.

The drinks took a while to arrive and upon doing so the glass of wine tasted a bit off - as if it'd been open for a while. I advised the staff who said they'd replace it. Another server arrived and asked if I'd like a replacement.... I began eating my food, which was nice, but let down by my replacement drink having not arrived until well after I'd finished eating.

Our dishes were cleared and we were asked if we wanted any dessert - we said yes, and we'd look at the menu. At this time it was 18:35. It became obvious that tables around us were becoming disgruntled because of the long wait times (which the staff weren't sharing with patrons on arrival) and staff kept saying it'd be a few minutes. Some of those tables opted to leave as they too had booked tickets to the threatre and wanted to get food elsewhere before the show. Staff continued to apologise and just kept telling everyone that a lot of tables arrived at once.

What I can't fathom is why that caught anyone off guard, when tables have to be booked in advance. Everyone should have been aware of the tables all arriving at the same time.

At 18:50 our dessert orders still weren't taken, so I ordered via the app. They came after 10 minutes and were just slammed down on the table (the wrong person had the wrong desserts). I had to catch the attention of the staff to advise that my dessert had no ice cream.... So a further wait for this to be rectified.

All in all, it was a frustrating experience. Frustratingly slow. Frustrating that staff communication was poor. Frustrating that things kept going wrong. Frustrating that we feel this way when the food was nice.

Given that we were told we could only have the table for 90 minutes, it seemed as though the responsibility to meet that time should've fallen upon the staff.

The place is clearly understaffed, and staff aren't empowered to do anything to fix service issues (a table that wanted to leave said they didn't think they should pay for the 2 drinks they'd had, and the server said they'd have to double check).

Staff failed to communicate with anyone (one another, and customers), yet everywhere is constantly asking for tips-the contactless machine on entry + exit to top £5, and the constant reminder of tipping the team in all the emails.

The obsession with tipping seems to also suggest that the company aren't willing to pay their staff a good enough wage that they need to rely on the good will of patrons. Unfortunately, providing the bare minimum level of service isn't tip worthy - strangely that's...

Great place, fantastic food, amazing drinks. Arrived in Truro this afternoon, found the Hubbox online. Wanted to take the kids somewhere trendy, interesting and fun. Well the Hubbox delivered.

Turned up as a walk in, we were seen and seated in minutes. Everyone was busy the place was buzzing and had a great atmosphere. Just as it promised from the out side of the building.

Lee the manager was really great. He was brilliant with the kids, and he was enjoying all the other customers in the restaurant. It is not often you see managers like this anymore.

As for the Hubbox we could do with one of these in Milton Keynes. This place is great top class, restaurant is fun, entertaining and stylish. The bar is set up well and drinks services is fast. The cocktails were top notch and my kids loved their American milk shakes (so did I).

I had the 6oz burger with pulled pork, onion rings and sweet fries. I couldn't eat it fast enough yum. My partner had the Big hot dog, it looked the part and tasted it too. Kids menu is brilliant loads of choice for the little ones. The fish sandwich with chip my lad demolished and my princess had the kids hot dog to be like mum, great size portions. Kids also get a juice and içecream. Kids love the iceream served in a glass with cone.

Well worth the money and spending some family time here. Top experience @Hubbox #Hubbox.

I have been a general manager of some of the biggest most current restaurant chains in the UK for years. I do not give compliments like this very often or easily.

Well done to Lee and his team.

To the owners this is a great place you have created. I would love to see this in Milton Keynes. I do hope you keep expanding. I will defiantly return and everyone I know is going to know about #Hubbox.

Thank you so much Chris and family

PS I like deserts, there's a little shop up the road from you that would make a great...

Very disappointed. Arrived and waited to be seated, not a long wait, but was not greeted just mumbled at by the member of staff as she walked away, so followed and was seated. Was given menu's and left to make our choices. Approx 20 min later I had to flag down a member of staff to take our order (other people arrived after us and were served first) then waited for our order, our drinks took approx 10 minutes, our food took approx 45 minutes. There was no mention of the wait time by the member of staff at the time of ordering. Our buttermilk chicken burgers coating was hard, and the chicken inside was dry (overcooked), the fries were also overcooked (hard), but we ate what we could. When we paid, the member of staff put the transaction through, then asked if everything was OK. My friend then mentioned the food wasn't great. The response was: oh I feel bad now you have paid for it, do you want me to get my manager. We declined and left. ( Just wanted to get out of there). We have eaten here many times and always been more than happy, but sadly this time has changed our minds, we won't return. BEFORE the response is made. I just want to say that I am not one to complain, which is why nothing was said when we tried the food, so please don't come back with a reply to patronise me. I am just giving an honest opinion on the...
