Jimmy's Cafe — Restaurant in England

The hype is real!! 10/10!! Faultless!

The cafe wasn't overly busy by the time we arrived (about 12.30pm) so we were able sit straight down and check out the menu.

The table and bench style seating were clean and comfortable, with cutlery, napkins, salt and pepper and the Godfathers of the sauce world on each table.

I decided to go for the Scottish Breakfast at £9.50 but added hash browns as I love em!

There wasn't much of a wait for my food to arrive, I imagine this would be different during busier periods, however it would TOTALLY be worth waiting for.

What arrived was a BIG plate of food, and it looked PROPER!! Crispy fat on the bacon, caramelised square sausages, golden brown tattie cake, perfectly cooked eggs... Each item was spot on!!

It looked that good I started without taking a photo!

Not only did it look the business, it tasted it! For the money the food was exceptional, no skimping on quality, the bacon, square sausages and black pudding were especially delicious!!

Normally I'll whack a bit of HP sauce on the side of a brekkie, if I'm feeling exotic I'll add Tommy K AND HP (not mixed, that's weird).

But at Jimmy's I didn't add a drop of either, and I didn't actually realise I until I'd finished!!

THAT'S how good it is.

I was expecting big things when I sought advice from Tripadvisor. Number one cafe in Blackpool Etc. Paid for an Uber to visit, The hosts , the owners absolutely adorable , can’t fault them !! unfortunately the food was diabolical. They were busy (understandable)…. Plate swimming in grease ! Had a Scottish Breakfast and was very good. Only thing that was wrong was the potato scone was hard as nails. Why? I don’t know but there we are. Two ladies and a lad served me, no issues….

Only thing that annoyed me was the payment. I was told they take card payments, only to be given the ‘eye’ and pointed towards the ‘cash only’ sign as I was paying. I don’t carry cash, I know why people want cash but that’s why I ask. Put the surcharge on my bill for all I care, I’m not local so don’t know any different on what you...
