Rave reviews about the brunch here so had to give this place a go. Made a reservation given the popularity on New Year’s Day. On arrival we were met by what best could be described as a glare by the maître D followed by a look up and down. So odd. We told her we’d made a reservation but rather than take us to our table she promptly decided to clear a nearby table and take the plates away. Made to stand at the entrance for what seemed like an eternity although in fairness was probably 3-4 minutes. 3-4 minutes too long in my opinion. Perhaps the most unwelcome greeting I’ve had for a long while. Our actual waiter was however kindness and courtesy personified. Perhaps he should teach his female colleague a thing or two. Anyways to the libation and degustation. The drinks were sublime. A deep rich perfectly spiced Bloody Mary was a thing of beauty as was a fresh and gloriously vibrant green smoothie. Food I’m sad to say was decidedly average. The kiddies fish fingers and chips was basically a marriage made of Captain Birdseye and McCains. The Hollandaise for the eggs benny was radioactively yellow and runny. My spiced chicken burger and the deep fried calamari were perfectly acceptable but woefully under seasoned. I had to ask for the salt and I never usually add extra salt (I’m a cardiologist btw). The maître’D had a smile for every other customer that arrived after us. Perhaps we just weren’t the right fit for this establishment. This place certainly wasn’t the right fit for us.

Really enjoy eating here. They do a great selection of food and drinks, serving brunch type meals until 3 pm. They stay open throughout the day. They cater for all pallets, offering a range of sweet & savoury dishes. They also offer a good selection of alternative milks, especially coconut milk, which is important to me and my family. My coconut latte was delicious. The staff are great and provide a good efficient service. They are also dog friendly, which is great, and our server kindly brought our dog a bowl of water that helped refresh him. The main toilets are downstairs, and there is also a disabled toilet on the ground floor. It's situated in the middle of Church road in Hove, with easy access to the local bus routes. There is no dedicated parking, but there is parking available in the surrounding streets that are a 5 minute walk away. Beware of resident parking areas and use the correct public parking spaces. Otherwise, penalties will be enforced. You will need the paybyphone app to pay for your parking session. It's probably best to book your table in advance. I'm already looking forward to our next visit and I'm happy to recommend it.

Have been here twice now. The first time I came for a bottomless brunch to cheer my friend up after a recent break up. The service was exceptional. A gentleman who I think may have been the manager or the owner checked all our needs were met and when the drinks arrived, offered for my friend to open the fizz for some good cheer. The food was quick to arrive and lovely, I had the hash that day and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was so impressed with the service and the food that I booked it again, this time for a relatively last minute birthday brunch. They accommodated about 20 of us upstairs and the service was again phenomenal. The highlight for me that day was the best Bloody Mary I've ever had, followed by the little brownies topped with birthday candles (pictured after I'd eaten some!) which the staff had organised for me. I had the shakshouka that day and again was very impressed so, when the other day my friend's birthday plans fell through, I recommended Jo & Co. They were able to fit him in and he also had a blast. I will definitely be back.

came here for lunch with my partner and my mum who can sometimes be a bit unsure of what she wants to eat. she found several things on the menu she fancied and ordered the super salad, and she bloody loved it. incredible portion sizing for the price, she said it tasted incredible and like the produce was of quality, loved everything in it and said the iced latte was tasty too. my partner ordered the raclette burger and was amazed by the fresh hot melted cheese that was placed on top at the table, incredible portion sizing again and said it was the best burger he’s had in a long while. i ordered the fried chicken burger and the portion sizing was also immaculate. chicken was MASSIVE as well as perfectly crispy without being oily, greasy or making the bun soggy which i was very impressed by. the fries were seasoned to perfection and so crispy. both hot dishes were very fresh and hot (always a plus when foods not sitting on the pass for several minutes) our waitress (believe her name was yaz, or at least it says so on our receipt!) was very enthusiastic both about the food and serving us, patient (never felt rushed for our drink + food order and helped refine my mums coffee order when she wasn’t sure) and very polite, even with only small interactions we all felt very comfortable in a new restaurant/environment 👏🏼. i’ve been curious about this restaurant for a while as the company i work at has provided cake orders for them in the past, and the only negative thing i have to say is regarding myself and the fact i didn’t check them out sooner! overall a very easy lunch experience where i never felt overwhelmed (as i sometimes can in new restaurants) and where the quality of the ingredients, the dishes and the portion sizing well exceeded our expectations, i can see why this restaurant is so popular and...
