Brighton and Hove’s food scene just got a vibrant new addition with the opening of Elite Kitchen a Turkish restaurant tucked away on Church Road. Combining authentic Anatolian flavors with modern presentation, this newcomer offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere that feels both fresh and deeply rooted in tradition.
From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with soft Turkish music, the inviting aroma of grilled meats and spices. The staff are genuinely friendly, offering helpful recommendations for both seasoned lovers of Turkish cuisine and newcomers alike.
The menu is a well-curated mix of classics and house specials. The mixed meze platter is a perfect way to start—creamy hummus, smoky baba ghanoush, and a zingy ezme salad served with warm, fluffy pide bread. For mains, the lamb shish with yoghurt is a standout: tender lamb served over toasted bread with a rich tomato sauce and cooling yogurt. Vegetarians won’t feel left out either, as they plenty choices.
Portions are generous, and prices are reasonable for the quality—most mains are under £20. They also offer an impressive selection of Turkish wines and raki for those looking to round out the meal with a traditional touch.

The food was outstanding. We ordered the mixed shish, and every bite of meat was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavour. The Turkish pide was, without doubt, the best I’ve had in Brighton — the base was perfectly authentic, just as you’d find in Turkey, with toppings balanced to perfection.
Dessert was the perfect finale. The kunefe was generous, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Chef Haydar has truly set the bar for authentic Turkish cuisine in Brighton: every dish was presented with care and delivered on flavour.
