Good to have another restaurant to choose from in Brixham and all credit to the owners who have invested in refurbishing the place. The decor and atmosphere are nice with a slightly OTT French theming but it just about gets away with it and you can tell it hasn't been done on the cheap. Service was very friendly and attentive, some of the younger staff are still learning the ropes but that's totally fine and you felt looked after. Pre-dinner cocktails were well mixed and appreciated by all.

As far as food goes, this is "French" dishes done by numbers - kind of equivalent to what you would have got at the chain Cafe Rouge and as authentically French as that was. The food is totally fine but no more than that, you're likely not going to have a bad meal here but it just felt like the fare you would get at a chain restaurant. Looking through the menu it felt that it was a combination of food that could easily be cooked on the grill or otherwise bought in ready prepared from catering companies (Beef Bourguignon and Coq Au Vin could easily be mass catered boil in the bag?).

I don't mean to be harsh, we had a perfectly pleasant evening and the staff were lovely but it would be good to see a little more ambition on their evening menu that required a greater level skill in the kitchen - how about seasonal daily specials and maybe the inclusion of a proper Cassoulet? It’s a new opening so they have something to build on to improve the current offering and, all-in-all, I ultimately wish...

La Petite Maison is a charming French bistro located in the heart of Brixham, Devon. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a cozy dining room and a beautiful outdoor patio over by the quay. The menu features classic French dishes and the food is consistently delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. Overall, La Petite Maison is a great choice for a special occasion or a casual meal.

Another thing that sets La Petite Maison apart is its commitment to customer service. The staff are always friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure that each guest has a memorable experience. They are happy to answer any questions about the menu or the wine list, and they are always willing to make recommendations.

If you are looking for a truly authentic French dining experience, La Petite Maison is the perfect choice. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is charming. You won't be disappointed.

Decided to eat here last night due to their outside eating area ideal as we had our dog Bailey .I went inside to order give my table number and paid and was told everything would be delivered to our table ,after about 5/10mins a waitress came out with drinks a bottle of malbec wine and a ppenpppint of Madri larger she went to another table and put the drinks down there were 2 men at the table and one of them said they hadn't ordered the Madri just the wine she took the wine back into the restaurant , straight away I realised that was my order but she had not asked the table number, only when my wife went in to ask for our drinks some 20min later did we get them .a similar thing then happened with out food but this time I spoke up as she was about to give part of my order to another table .why take table numbers if they don't deliver to them ,also there were items missing from the meal description on the menu .when our meal was finished we were asked if everything was ok with our meal I explained the issues and was offered complimentary coffees we declined but it was...

We stumbled across La Petite Maison while on an afternoon visit to Brixham. It looked inviting from the street and it didn’t disappoint. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was amazing. I need to avoid gluten and there were plenty of options on the menu. I chose the scallops as a starter which were beautiful. For my main I had sirloin steak with french fries, salad and a Cafe de Paris sauce. I can honestly say I enjoyed every mouthful. I managed to eat it all which speaks volumes as generally I have little appetite since being seriously unwell with a brain tumour. My husband chose the mushroom starter and Sea Bass with sauce vierge. He was equally impressed. We shall definitely be returning. Thank you La Petite Maison for such a lovely dining experience.

The first time I had the French toast it was perfect! The second time it was gooey, like under cooked - gooey throughout. Asked the waitress if that level of gooey was normal and they said it was since it’s soaked. I’m aware of the process of cooking it but this was kind of off putting since the textures were so different from the first time and second time. Consistency would be appreciated, or offer a solution when something is off with an order x
