Visited Fullers in Brixham whilst on a short break in Dartmouth recently. My wife was diagnosed with Coeliac disease, out of the blue, a couple of years ago and trying to find a gluten free pasty when you are out and about is pretty impossible.
I found Fullers following extensive research, in relation to gluten free pasties, and can honestly say they they were superb. The staff were friendly and professional and made sure everything went smoothly.
I picked up the pre-ordered gluten free and conventional pasties at the arranged time and everything was ready and boxed up and labelled. We drove to Slapton Sands along with other family members and opened the box. I have to say to see the look of delight on my wife's face as she took her first bite was fantastic. It was her first Cornish pasty in a number of years and it certainly lived up to expectations.
To many this review may seem a bit over the top. All I can say is that we take so many thing's in life for granted, including the humble Cornish pasty, and until it impacts you it might be difficult to understand.
Anyway, a huge thumbs up 👍 to Fullers for making a short family break extra special. 100%...
Read moreI so want to like this place for eating in! Great position, nice staff and good food... when they've got it. Five out of the five times I've been in there in the last couple of months they didn't have half the small menu on. Two of those times, we were told they only have what's 'in the window,' about a dozen Pasties and half a dozen sausage rolls. It just seems a bit odd. There's a supermarket around the corner. If you don't have bacon (4/5 times I've visited), just go and get some. They must lose SO much custom!
Update: Finally went back after three months absence. Much of the menu still not on. No pizza, no chicken tikka, no egg mayo... But they did have bacon this time! 😃 Enjoyed a nice bacon and brie panini! Added one star...
Read moreVery astonished and disappointed all in one. I've been coming here for years and I've never had such a discgrace of a pasty in all that time. I normally recommend Fullers but not anymore. This is a lamb and mint pasty, one TINY patty of lamb in the centre, surrounded by onions and potatoes. The pasty, when in the shop and when I got it home was very fat, but upon opening about 30% of that "fatness" was air and the rest a disappointment. 👎
Now I know times are hard but this is borderline scamming people out of money. I'm shocked that this hasn't been picked up on sooner.
Very disappointed in Fullers. Ironically, even spar has pasties "fuller" than the one I was served today....
